What is a stock riser? It's a player that has taken the previous thought of that player is and can do, and then lifting those thoughts to a higher level. Here are names that fit that description from the Freshmen Showcase.

Ray Ray was a top 25 level prospect in this class coming into the event and throughout the event, in front of a number of scouts, Dildy showed off a consistency of playmaking for his team that left a strong impression. Ray Ray shot the ball well from the perimeter both from mid and the arc, and you are starting to see him fill out in the ways needed as he looks to help Breck this winter from whatever team he is moved to.

Austin is surely a player with size that left a strong impression about what he can be for Alexandria in the near future, and what he can be as a future prospect. When the rankings are resorted will surely be a player that moves up quickly. Moves well at his size and Austin looks like a player that has a lot of room to fill out while being able to give consistent play right away (at whatever level he is at this winter).

Mason was both a player that was tough to stop with the dribble separation and a guy that you had to get a hand to because the perimeter jumper was being made in quality percentages. Definitely a guard that we are going to look at for a big boost because Mason should have a strong winter season at the younger levels, and a guy to really keep an eye on at 15u next spring. Great impression made.

There is a ton of potential in Henry that we are looking forward to following the next four seasons. The modern game loves a stretch four with a pretty touch and the agility to both move on defense and score on the move (with or without the ball). We saw Henry score inside plus rebound, but when we saw him hit a trail three and then follow that with a ball screen into a catch and make at the arc off the screen, that is what we knew that his young man is even higher level than a ranking of eight.

Sykes is another guy that we are going to move up the rankings when they are resorted here next month. Sykes has grown from whenever that 5'8 height was put in and he's definitely one of the talents that seemed to be full control of the possession on a regular basis. There are only so many guards that look in full control of what is about to happen consistently and Sykes looked to be one of those guys.

Joyner shot the ball well showing range but a pretty good handler in creating the move to get himself some space. Joyner is part of a stacked program of guards at Hopkins so it will likely be younger levels for some time but Joyner is a player that will do well there and into 15u. Defenders had a terrible time chasing Joyner down and then trying to move with him while in position.

Coppage is a talent that will surely text a step forward in the next rankings resort after an outstanding Sunday of basketball. Coppage was one of the toughest to stop players going at the rim and one of a collection of 2030 Fridley players that look like they are going to help bring the program forward.
