The top unsigned player in the state of Minnesota is also one of the players leading the race for Mr. Basketball and Minnesota Player of the Year entering the season and that is playmaking, state championship guard [player_tooltip player_id='2126117' first='Malachi' last='Hill'].

Hill was a first team 17u all state player in Minnesota the past four months and he was honored as a top player in Adidas 3SSB. He's earned offers from Northern Iowa, Jacksonville State, Wyoming, Indiana State, Chattanooga, Purdue-Fort Wayne, Illinois State, Ohio, Tennessee Tech, and Montana. Next up for Hill is to set visits after schools come back from their August break, but if you are a mid-major looking for a lead guard, I would check into Hill immediately.

When it comes to explosive ball handlers, Deon fits that description perfectly. Because the 6'2 Islander is so agile laterally and up and down, his defensive potential at the next level is off the charts, and he can finish at the rim as well as most guards. On a team of Islanders that had a score first mentality, Deon did a great job being a steady hand taking them to the state championship game. And on a [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] team that had three division one offered lead guards, Wallace-Johnson assimilated well playing off the ball too. With offers from Drake, Stony Brook, and Florida International, Wallace-Johnson is a recruit lows and mids should look at.

Colleges love shooters with confidence, and shooters they can trust, and Luke is that player in a lot of ways. The Hoop Habits/Shakopee guard has a load of division two offers to pick from and he's done an amazing job of visiting those schools, and understanding that many players of his quality these days have to go the D2 route now first. Luke has the ability to step in and be a shooter for one of those NSIC teams. But if there is a D1 out there still looking for a shooter for the 2027 class, Luke is a player I would check on.

There are not many players that can score the ball against a hard working defender in a good spot like Udean does. We've heard the stories of what Udean did in St. Louis but also saw what he did against Real Phenom and [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] in 30+ point games. There is a special scoring quality to Udean that you can't find many places, that is why he was entered into a national ranking by 247......because even national analysts rarely saw in the national class of 2027 players what Jaeden can do (they saw him in St. Louis when he scored 118 points in four games).

Johnson scored 16 points a game as a junior but the Fury saw something developing in Johnson last year. They put Matthew in a position to score the ball and Johnson did it in a way that led to offers from Wyoming, Minnesota State-Mankato, Minnesota State-Moorhead, Augustana, St. Cloud State and Minnesota-Duluth. Johnson has a great group of schools to pick from and he can develop well at all those programs, but I could also see Johnson fitting in in the Summit League if a team from that conference stepped up looking to bring him to their program.
