The sophomores came ready to make a statement, bringing energy, confidence and their best basketball to the showcase. This group of familiar names didn't just live up to the hype but showed exactly why the attention continues to follow them. From big plays to impressive individual performances, they gave us plenty to talk about and even more to watch moving forward. The spotlight was bright, and these players looked comfortable under it.

Hartley was a handful all day, bringing a physical presence that was tough for opponents to deal with. He showed a nice mix of post moves and face up ability, using his patience and change of pace to keep defenders guessing. What really stood out was his versatility, as he wasn't afraid to step outside and knock down threes. He even grabbed a rebound and took off in transition, pushing the ball like a guard. Down low Hartley embraced the physical battle, using his size and strength to create space and finish through contact. It was a dominant and confident performance from start to finish

Hackley has taken his game to another level, and he put that growth on full display throughout the showcase. He was active inside, constantly battling for position, chasing rebounds and finding creative ways to finish around the basket. His ability to stretch the floor and knock down threes added another dimension to his offensive game, making him much tougher to guard. What really caught our attention was his motor, as Hackley played with nonstop energy and competed on every possession. He never seemed to take a play off. The progress is obvious, and if he keeps building on this performance, he has plenty more ahead

Alexander was a force throughout the showcase, finding one way after another to impact the game and continuing to show just how much his overall game is developing. He attacked the basket with confidence and purpose, creating separation and consistently putting himself in position to score. Around the rim he was tough to stop, finishing through contact and making plays when defenders challenged him. He also showed impressive versatility by going to work with his back to the basket, using his size and strength to create advantages inside. Add in his work on the glass, and Alexander delivered a complete, high impact performance that keeps us paying close attention to him

Okoth was one of the day's biggest standouts, putting together a performance that demanded attention from start to finish. He played with a physical edge defensively, picked up opponents high, disrupted plays and consistently found ways to get his hands on the ball. Offensively he showed a little bit of everything, knocking down a three, attacking closeouts, finishing blow bys and calmly pulling up from the mid range. His decision making stood out as well, as he made the extra pass and kept the offense flowing. Okoth looked comfortable scoring in different ways and competed like one of the best defenders in the gym

Hampton took a little time to get rolling, but once he found his rhythm, he became one of the toughest players to slow down. The lefty consistently got to his favorite spots, using sharp footwork and a smooth handle to create space. After knocking down a couple of threes, his confidence took off and the offense started running through him. Hampton embraced the playmaker role, demanding attention and making a multitude of plays with the ball in his hands. His two man game was fun to watch and throughout the showcase he kept creating advantages and seemed to repeatedly find ways to make something happen which makes him so dangerous

West showed the kind of versatility that makes him such an intriguing player to watch. Even when his jumper wasn't falling early, he never allowed it to take him out of the game. Instead he shifted gears, using his vision and playmaking to create opportunities for teammates and keep the offense moving. As the game progressed that confidence returned, and West began putting his scoring ability on full display. He repeatedly attacked the paint and found success finishing around the basket, forcing defenders to adjust. That opened up his mid range game, where he started knocking down pull ups and taking control of the action. That type of leadership is something that makes a good player a special player

Rothe gave us a great look at just how much he can influence a game beyond simply putting points on the board. His quickness allowed him to consistently turn the corner on defenders, get downhill and finish through traffic when he reached the paint. He also showed a strong feel for finding open space and making himself available when the ball moved. What stood out most was his ability to facilitate and keep an offense humming. When Rothe was running the show, everything seemed to flow naturally, with his playmaking creating opportunities all over the floor. Defensively he was equally difficult to handle with tough covers and solid rotations to open shooters showing his future is very bright

The sophomores came ready to make a statement, bringing energy, confidence and their best basketball to the showcase. This group of familiar names didn't just live up to the hype but showed exactly why the attention continues to follow them.
