Jamari had the accolades as one of the top freshmen last year, as he was the leading scorer and assist-man on his varsity team, but there were not a ton of wins, and his 3-point shot looked to be nonexistent. Well, looks like one of those have change,d as he came to our showcase and his 3-point shot was one of his strong suits on the day, and we also saw it over the Summer. There’s been a massive improvement in his game, and he has moments where he looks unstoppable at his age group. He’s quick, explosive, and competitive, and that has the makings of a solid guard who could take his conference by storm. He already had the keys to the team, but this upcoming season, with a reliable 3-point shot to go along with it, I believe he might be one of the dark horse favorites to be the best player in his conference. I’m certainly high on Jamari as the upside is there. 

Hampton took a little time to get rolling, but once he found his rhythm, he became one of the toughest players to slow down. The lefty consistently got to his favorite spots, using sharp footwork and a smooth handle to create space. After knocking down a couple of threes, his confidence took off and the offense started running through him. Hampton embraced the playmaker role, demanding attention and making a multitude of plays with the ball in his hands. His two man game was fun to watch and throughout the showcase he kept creating advantages and seemed to repeatedly find ways to make something happen which makes him so dangerous

Hampton earned his spot in the rankings because of the consistent impact he brings every time he steps on the floor for Sierra. The guard does a little bit of everything and affects the game beyond the box score. Hampton plays with an attacking mentality, getting downhill with purpose and putting pressure on defenders whenever he touches the ball. He thrives in the mid range, finishes tough plays at the rim and has a knack for following his own shot to create second chances. His motor stands out just as much as his scoring. He is constantly around the basketball, active on rebounds, making hustle plays and competing on every possession. That all around production and relentless energy make him a tough matchup and a deserving ranked prospect
