Today, we officially released our Pennsylvania Class of 2029 rankings. After evaluating these prospects throughout the scholastic and AAU seasons, many were able to bolster their stock with strong performances over the last several months, building momentum heading into the upcoming school year. [player_tooltip player_id='2507489' first='Ahmir' last='Brown'], the dynamic swingman from Neumann-Goretti (PA), remains our No. 1 prospect. Brown continues to impress with his ability to get to his spots, and his mid-range game has become nearly automatic. Barakel Koffi from The Phelps School (PA) and Khory Copeland from Father Judge (PA) round out the top three.A few new faces cracked the Top 10 this time around. [player_tooltip player_id='2450682' first='Chase' last='Stevens'] recently joined the Class of 2029 following his move to The Haverford School (PA), while [player_tooltip player_id='2842998' first='Micah' last='Kaniki'] of Westtown School (PA) enters the rankings after making the move to the United States from Canada. The Top 10 is heavily represented by prospects from the eastern side of the state, particularly the greater Philadelphia area. [player_tooltip player_id='3027999' first='Julius' last='Page Jr.'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2905382' first='Marino' last='Graham'] are the two WPIAL standouts representing western Pennsylvania, while [player_tooltip player_id='2868579' first='Shyheim' last='Starling'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3660702' first='Jaden' last='Truss'] should have basketball fans across south-central Pennsylvania on the edge of their seats as two of the region's top sophomores. There is also plenty of promise out west. Prospects such as [player_tooltip player_id='3266193' first='Brooklyn' last='Becker'], [player_tooltip player_id='3231680' first='Owen' last='Hodge'], [player_tooltip player_id='3033942' first='Brandon' last='Pickett'], [player_tooltip player_id='3035875' first='Amaizen' last='Straughters'], and [player_tooltip player_id='3443741' first='Ahsan' last='Harrison'] all made meaningful impacts at the varsity level as freshmen and should continue to see their stock rise. On the eastern side of the state, I believe [player_tooltip player_id='3649584' first='Evan' last='Barone'], [player_tooltip player_id='3596584' first='Marcus' last='Temchatin'], and [player_tooltip player_id='3433167' first='Jimmy' last='Doherty'] have the potential to burst onto the varsity scene this season. In the Friends League, [player_tooltip player_id='2873649' first='BJ' last='Williams'], [player_tooltip player_id='2940554' first='Adam' last='Atkins'], and [player_tooltip player_id='3651949' first='Roth' last='Perkins'] are three young prospects who should become household names over the course of the year. The Mid-Penn Conference also features several intriguing prospects I look forward to monitoring, including [player_tooltip player_id='3559505' first='Carter' last='Lownes'], [player_tooltip player_id='3433161' first='Elijah' last='Scott'], [player_tooltip player_id='2865888' first='David' last='Mota'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2919252' first='Cameron' last='Dickerson'], all of whom have the ability to break out this season. In the Poconos and NEPA regions, [player_tooltip player_id='3464542' first='Marcel' last='Stapler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3710680' first='Miles' last='Metz'] enjoyed productive rookie campaigns and should take on even larger roles this winter. Up in northwest Pennsylvania, [player_tooltip player_id='3448042' first='Kymani' last='Vine'] is coming off a strong showing while helping lead his team to the HGAL 15U Championship and should continue climbing the rankings. [player_tooltip player_id='3043561' first='Zayne' last='Henderson'] is another Erie-area guard who has the talent to make plenty of noise this season. The Upper St. Clair duo of [player_tooltip player_id='3598566' first='Greyson' last='Sayler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3663234' first='Austin' last='Chambers'] will be a fun pair to watch over the next three seasons. I'm hoping both see significant varsity minutes this year, as their versatility should help keep them on the floor. Finally, don't overlook some of the state's most exciting guards under six feet tall. [player_tooltip player_id='3438758' first='Braylon' last='Harris'], [player_tooltip player_id='3599509' first='Maurice' last='Moore'], [player_tooltip player_id='3231775' first='Gabe' last='Gizzi'], Camden Evancho, and [player_tooltip player_id='3546056' first='Cortland' last='Michaels'] are all electrifying playmakers who fans should have firmly on their radar entering the season.
