Vine is a workhorse forward whose physicality and relentless motor made him one of the toughest matchups throughout the event. He consistently used his strength to overwhelm defenders, scoring efficiently on the interior while embracing contact. Vine also made the most of second-chance opportunities, crashing the offensive glass and converting extra possessions into points. His aggressive style of play led to several trips to the foul line, where he capitalized on free scoring opportunities. More than just the numbers, Vine’s toughness and winning mentality were evident from start to finish, as he played a pivotal role in leading his team to the 15U HGAL championship. His ability to control the paint, rebound, and impose his will made him one of the primary reasons his team brought home the title.

Vine battled through injury early in the 3rd quarter. He chipped in 7 points in a come from behind win. He did a nice job falling into steals and turning it into scoring chances. He shows the ability to play inside and out. I liked the way he can find teammates in different spots on the floor. Vine reads and reacts to game on fly. Looking forward to tracking his progress over the next few years.

Generating some buzz out of the Erie area, Vine has emerged right away as a consistent threat for 20-plus points for a 13-3 Eisenhower team looking primed for district and state playoff runs. He’s a smooth, polished matchup nightmare with a blend of size and skill to punish opposing defenders in a variety of ways. It’s a bit early to speculate but from what we’ve seen, Vine looks to have upside at the D1 level with proper development moving forward. We hope for a chance to see him against some stiffer competition at some point in the playoffs, otherwise we’ll have a chance to learn more about him in AAU.
