What players stood out in the biggest way on Saturday? We break it down today starting with [player_tooltip player_id='1819128' first='Bryce' last='Gaustad']!    [player_tooltip player_id='1819128' first='Bryce' last='Gaustad'] is making a very real push to be a top ten player and prospect in this state and I think he is one hundred percent there. The 6'9 skilled big started off against Fury Goring in a really tough way with missed bunnies and some missed boards. How did Bryce then respond playing in front of over a dozen coaches? With domination.   After missing his first six shots and losing about five boards, Bryce turned things around leading the Titans to a huge win over the second ranked team in the state! Bryce made nine of his last ten attempts including a hotly contested three over Sambrew that sent the game to overtime. It was Bryce's fourth three of the game on his way to a 27 point, 11 rebound performance. He then hit three threes and scored 25 points to beat the Lightning! A huge day by a top ten area prospect.   Bryce is one of the more skilled posts you will see anyplace in the Midwest and I would 100 percent put the ball in his hands to win a game over every other big in the state.     [player_tooltip player_id='2815445' first='Levi' last='Hopp'] took the floor to compete and as a coach you had to love it. There was one point when they were figuring out who each player was guarding and Levi locked in with this "I'll take this one" look and he then possession by possession seemed to relish the challenge against a fast Houston team.   Levi scored on six of seven attempts with everything going at the rim with a purpose. Hopp had about four inches on his guy but with the guard skill, size and length, Hopp went right at the rim and had continual success. Balanced touched in finishes with a focused look, a retreat on defense to defend, and a quick transition push to go at Beast Elite again. Levi eventually forced his opponents to foul him and he finished with a team high 15 points.   I really like Levi as a D3 prospect and he is surely a player that will be flying up our prospect list.     [player_tooltip player_id='1956268' first='Shay' last='Jackson'] played one of the best floor games I have seen all season when he led Select over North Dakota Phenom on Saturday. This was a near 20 point game and Shay sliced and diced the Phenom with attacks, with his push, with his pace, the making of open shots, but more importantly, he had full control of the offense and the team flourished because of it.   This might be the first time I have seen Shay with the ball in his hands nearly the entire game to run the show and the impression made was lasting. CSP and SJU are on Shay heavy and I can see why.... he got an A+ plus for his decision making and an A++ as a top ball pressure guy. With ball in Shay's hands fully, Select played their best game since April (that I have seen).     We have been high on Asher for a long time but at this point we might be even higher. At 6'7 and much stronger, but also more agile and more explosive, Asher has the skills. We are also now seeing him do things as a dominant paint player finishing and rebounding as well. Asher had 14 points and 12 boards in the win over The Comets plus four assists! Asher dunked explosively three times in his seven of ten shooting and D2 schools were watching.   Asher isn't some secret out here, he's a well known prospect from Class A but I don't know that all schools have seen him lately. If they haven't they are missing a talent that has really matured the past few months into a rebounding, strong finishing, and even more explosive force.     [player_tooltip player_id='2140688' first='Rylan' last='Happel'] is changing opinions. He's a competitive, battling guard that looks a little taller, a bit stronger, and Rylan uses his great feel for the game to combine with those things to win possession battles. Love his approach on the floor: Rylan seems to take a challenge and yesterday's challenge was to face, and defeat the top ranked 16u team in the state (Fury Wilde).   Rylan has a really clean three point jumper that he makes in good percentages, his hesitation move is excellent, the ball movement off the ball screen is timed perfectly, and his spin move ranks with the best I have seen.   Happel had 20 points in that Fury win and then he played really well against Fury Zurn in a competitive game. Happel is going to be one of the top D3 recruits and I think he will flourish at that level. And with time, I think his game could really flourish in college and who knows where things could go from there. Look out for Heat GVR and Mounds View when Rylan is in charge.     [player_tooltip player_id='2385822' first='Brooks' last='Rechtzigel'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Wilde (Cannon Falls). The outstanding summer of Brooks continued yesterday when he took the last shot of the game comfortably against the Lightning, and with his team down, Brooks made the buzzer beater and put his team up for the win. A clutch, clutch make as Brooks continues to flourish.
