June Transfer Tracker: South Carolina's Notable Moves

While rumors and speculation often dominate the offseason, this list includes only confirmed transfers that have been verified by Prep Hoops SC and involve prospects currently ranked in our database. Below is a quick look at the notable June moves, along with a brief breakdown of what each transfer could mean heading into the winter.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   In-State Transfers:    Leading off the list is a move that will have major implications on the 5A State Championship outlook. The addition of J'Sean Sanders gives the Runnin' Rebels a true rim protector and lob threat, unlocking the full playmaking arsenal of their elite Point Guard and allowing them to better match up with bigger, more athletic teams in late February and early March.     Richland Northeast was a busy team in June when it comes to tracking transfers. Brayden followed his older brother, Christian Savage, who took the Head Coach position for the Cavaliers. Mack has shown major signs of progression this summer and will be one of the best starting Point Guards in Class AAAA this season.     The CSRA always has a ton of movement around this time of year. Julian was one of the first to announce his intentions of transferring, departing from Aiken High School to join the Yellow Jackets. North Augusta always seems to have elite guards, so it will be interesting to see how Graham fits in this winter.     Tooper made the cross-town move from Fort Mill to Catawba Ridge in June. The Yellow Jackets didn't have a ton of depth last season, so Caleb was an important piece, and I expect his interior scoring presence and ability to play bigger than his size defensively to translate for the Copperheads.     One of the biggest announcements of the summer was [player_tooltip player_id='2630771' first='Kaleb' last='Allen']'s transfer to Christ Church Episcopal School. It was one in the works for a while, but nonetheless, it sent shockwaves across the state. This move immediately makes Christ Church a contender in Class 3A and Kaleb one of the favorites for Class Player of the Year.     Fox Creek made a big splash this summer by bringing in Walls. Aidan was one of the most exciting guards in 1A last season, putting up 13.3 points per game, 2.2 assists per game, and 1.4 steals per game in 2025-26. He has already shown signs of improving his jumper in a Predator jersey, so mix in his elite athleticism as well, and he will be a crucial piece for them this season.     Anton is one of the top true Point Guards in the state, and the Trojans will bring him in to free up some of their other top prospects to be score-first. Daniels sees the floor very well and has a knack for getting others involved, so this addition should cement James Island as one of Charleston's elite teams this season.     Another interesting Lowcountry move this month was Smith's transfer from Hilton Head to Bluffton. Kiedis averaged almost 12 PPG as a sophomore and was an All-Region performer, so his existing body of work and offseason growth lead me to believe he could push for an All-State selection in 2026-27.     The first SCISA move to grace this list is [player_tooltip player_id='2895538' first='Cal' last='Fairfield']'s transfer from James Island to Porter-Gaud. The 6'8" big man has lots of intriguing tools, and he should get the chance to show them all in a Cyclone jersey, especially against overall smaller competition.     Kamden hit the ground running with the Red Raiders after being cleared in late June. The 2028 guard is one of the most offensively skilled players in his class, so he gives Greenville another guard who can score and create shots off the dribble.     Keeping it in the Upstate, Victor was running with Woodmont in June after spending the last two seasons playing for Brashier Middle College. Farah gives the Wildcats a versatile presence off the bench, as he can play multiple positions and do many things well on both ends of the floor.     One of the biggest stock risers in June was McBee's [player_tooltip player_id='2495155' first='Davaris' last='Lambert']. Lambert stayed in Class A, moving from Lamar to join up with the Panthers this summer. His explosiveness and playmaking ability were on display all month long, and it's a combination that will make him one of the best guards in the division this season.     Dawson likely transferred with Football and Baseball in mind, but don't underestimate the impact he could have on the hardwood over the next two years. Fowler should be really good in a more specialized role for Byrnes, giving them depth, versatility, and athleticism off the bench.     One of the earliest and most high-profile transfers of this cycle was the return of [player_tooltip player_id='2853393' first='Babar' last='Johnson'] to the Westwood Redhawks. Johnson played for them his 8th Grade year before spending his freshman season at Gray Collegiate, but now he's back at Westwood to help them defend their State Championship title in 2026-27.     Staying in the 2029 Class, Stanley is another guy who could be decisive in the 1A title race. Despite not being overly physical, Taye has a great foundation for scoring around the rim and is showing signs of improving his handle and jumper every time I watch him.     Connor is one of the top young Point Guards in the Charleston area and will get the chance to display his talent at Oceanside Collegiate Academy this season. The Landsharks are still a very young group, so Corrigan fits in with their timeline, with dreams of winning a State Championship in the future.     Another 2029 Point Guard who made a move this offseason is Greene. Deux is now in Laurens, and he has the potential to be the missing piece for the Raiders. He is an excellent distributor offensively and could be the catalyst in connecting all of their talented pieces.     Lucy Beckham impressed many across the state in June, and the addition of Ryan to their backcourt only adds to their offensive arsenal. Once he learns his teammates and the system, Curry could provide a huge spark in his role for the Bengals.     Jordan is another sneaky good 2029 pick-up. He didn't have a ton of production as a freshman at Batesburg-Leesville, but I'm always impressed when I watch him with Upward Columbia because of his perimeter shooting and overall effect on the game.     Spring Valley was busy in June, bringing in a new Head Coach and a handful of transfers. Malik is one of the headliners in that list, coming over from Lugoff-Elgin, where he was an important piece as a freshman Point Guard. Woods is a gifted playmaker, so it's all about continuing to gain experience and grow physically to unlock his full potential. Gadson joins the Bearcats after getting good experience in 2025-26 at Airport High School, and he will give them another athletic body to throw at 3A competition.
