Here are the morning heroes from Saturday's action at the Riverside-Brookfield Shootout.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323620' first='Ed' last='Stasys'] | Benet Academy 2027

Stasys got his day started in impressive fashion with a hard diving cut to the basket that resulted in a dunk. He consistently played with a high motor, keeping possessions alive and earning paint touches through effort and activity. The athletic forward was at his best attacking the rim, using spin moves and quick footwork to create scoring opportunities. Several of those drives ended above the rim as he repeatedly finished with authority. His energy and relentless play around the basket stood out throughout the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425956' first='Perry' last='Tchiegne'] | Benet Academy 2027

Known primarily for his defensive impact, Tchiegne showcased more of his offensive game on Saturday morning. The lefty attacked downhill with confidence, using strong drives and crafty Euro-step finishes to score in traffic. He looked comfortable creating off the bounce and made several difficult finishes appear routine. While his defensive versatility remains a major strength, Tchiegne displayed a scorer's mentality and proved capable of providing offense when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323617' first='Markese' last='Peoples'] | St. Laurence 2027

Peoples followed up a strong Day 1 performance with an outstanding showing on Saturday. The powerful guard consistently used his strength and athleticism to get downhill and finish at the rim. His highlight moment came when he elevated over a defender for a thunderous dunk that energized the crowd. Peoples impacts the game at all three levels offensively, creates opportunities for teammates, and competes with toughness on the defensive end. He continues to establish himself as one of the top performers at the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2426052' first='Cormac' last='Hanus'] | Benet Academy 2027

Hanus was one of the hottest shooters in the gym during the morning session. The 6-foot-5 wing knocked down multiple three-pointers with his smooth left-handed stroke and showed excellent consistency from beyond the arc throughout the weekend. He excels as a catch-and-shoot threat, getting his feet set quickly and delivering accurate shots. Hanus led his team in scoring and continues to look like a sleeper prospect in Illinois' 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2826489' first='Collin' last='Tobin'] | Niles North 2027

Tobin once again displayed his ability to score at all three levels. With his perimeter shot not falling quite as consistently as it did the previous day, he adjusted by attacking the basket and creating offense off the dribble. He got to his spots effectively, finished through contact, and mixed in his reliable mid-range game. Tobin's motor, competitiveness, and ability to control the offense were key factors throughout the contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125609' first='Denard' last='Grayson'] | Hyde Park 2027

Grayson helped Hyde Park build an early double-digit lead by scoring in a variety of ways. The 6-foot-2 guard connected from beyond the arc, knocked down pull-up jumpers, and attacked the rim with confidence. He possesses a smooth shooting stroke with a high release point that makes his jumper difficult to contest. Grayson also ran the floor well in transition, finishing through contact and providing a steady scoring presence for Hyde Park.

[player_tooltip player_id='2962335' first='Phillip' last='Jones'] | East St. Louis 2027

Jones brought toughness, athleticism, and nonstop energy every time he stepped on the floor. The physical guard attacked defenders with a strong handle and consistently got wherever he wanted on the court. He embraced contact, played aggressively, and provided a spark on both ends of the floor. Jones was one of East St. Louis' emotional leaders throughout the weekend and consistently impacted winning.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531981' first='Cole' last='Kelly'] | Neuqua Valley 2028

Kelly wrapped up an impressive weekend with another strong performance against Homewood-Flossmoor. The talented sophomore scored efficiently around the basket, finishing through contact and converting several putback opportunities. He has a unique ability to absorb bumps while maintaining body control and completing plays. Kelly also showcased his playmaking ability, recording multiple assists while finding teammates [player_tooltip player_id='2839878' first='Mason' last='Martin'] and Luke Balgrio for easy scoring opportunities. His all-around game was on full display once again.
