Stepping into a fantastic situation as a freshman at Louisville Male. [player_tooltip player_id='3250729' first='Mason' last='Calhoun'] was facing pressure against the Fishers backcourt that he probably has never seen before, and he rose to the occasion. Tempo pushing guard that didn't get sped up. As a young guard, he showed the ability to handle the pressure and get the offense set up as well as get in the lane and create shots himself and others.

The top 5 2029 Indiana Prospect is stepping into a bigger role this season for the Fishers Tigers and he looked the part as a true impact player. Mobile big man with skill on the offensive end. Has the ability to play in the middle of the floor as a playmaker. Good court vision out of the post when double teams come. Has shown he can hit catch and shoot 3's as well as driving closeouts. Good rebounder with soft touch around the rim. Defensively he's able to switch on the perimeter and contain guards while still being able to impact drives to the rim.

My first time seeing [player_tooltip player_id='2851856' first='Jaden' last='Johnson'] live and he was an absolute beast on the block offensively. Physical post player that demands a touch on every possession. Good hands with good footwork. He's patient off the catch and has multiple moves to finish around the basket. Mobile big man on the defensive end that looked to be the vocal leader on that end. High level rebounder that showed the ability to push on the break.

My first time seeing the talented guard out of East Chicago Central came in a lopsided loss on Saturday to Winton Woods (OH), but Naji Mehx caught my attention with just the way he moves on the floor. Smooth on the offensive end of the floor that can showed he can score in a variety of different ways. Uses his length well to protect the ball on drives to the basket and finishes at a high level at the rim. Showed a clean stroke from the perimeter, but struggled a bit in the loss. What impressed me the most is his defensive potential. Size and length to guard multiple positions. Has good instincts and always seems to be in the right place. Aggressive playing the passing lanes looking to turn defense into offense.

The first game of the day yesterday featured the Prep Hoops 2029 #1 Player [player_tooltip player_id='2636078' first='Micah' last='Mohler'] of Austin High School and he showed why he is deserving of that ranking. Elite scorer at this stage with good size and feel on the offensive end. Had the perimeter jumper going in a big way yesterday knocking down a handful of 3's just in the first half. Able to rise up over defenders with his size. He elevates well in his jumper. He stays on balance with drives and is able to play through contact. Special 2029 prospect that will continue to put up big numbers.

The most impressive 2030 prospect that I saw yesterday at the IU Team Camp was 6'5” W [player_tooltip player_id='3258799' first='Colt' last='Robbins'] of Bedford North Lawrence. Mature skillset that went at his matchup in both games I got to see yesterday. Showed his ability to score all over the floor. Unreal confidence that didn't let a few missed shots affect the next possession. Was able to get in the lane with a tight handle and score with good footwork and with either hand. Comfortable playing out of the post with a nice face up game. Love his ability to play on the ball and be a playmaker for others. Willing passer that was able to get everyone involved. Will be a major player for the next four years for BNL and in the 2030 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2888227' first='Karson' last='Stoudemire'] was the best player for New Albany yesterday in the two games that I got to see. The talented 6'3” guard brought it on both ends of the floor. He's a physical downhill driver that welcomes contact. He's relentless getting into the lane where he's an exception finisher. Jump shot is a work in progress, but has a clean stroke and was able to knock down a couple in the games I saw. New Albany as a team has the chance to be one of the top defensive teams in the state this coming season, and Stoudemire will be a big part of that with his defensive versatility
