It is the month of June which means there are multiple college camps for high school prospects to attend and one of the bigger ones took place this past Saturday down in Bloomington at Indiana University. The Prep Hoops Indiana crew was in attendance to catch the action and with that, we saw a ton of prospects with their respective high school teams. Here is part 1 of a few of my standout players from Saturday at the IU Team Camp.

One of the top under-the-radar guards we have in the Indiana class of 2027 is [player_tooltip player_id='2116874' first='Parker' last='Kern'] of Bedford North Lawrence. While he is known to be more of that facilitator and on-ball guard that sets guys up most of the time, in Bedford's game vs Blackford Kern turned it up a level and was super aggressive as a scorer. Knocked down a bunch of threes and came up huge with big shots in a very close game. If he can be that facilitator and find consistent scoring, Bedford could be a sneaky team to watch in southern Indiana.

A big man prospect that impressed on the day was New Albany center [player_tooltip player_id='2871340' first='Xavier' last='Harvey']. While he is not the most mobile big on the floor, Harvey takes up a ton of size in the post and has some solid footwork with a 6'7 frame. He plays with a soft touch at the basket and can stretch the floor out with a very underrated stroke. Just another piece on an ultra talented New Albany team.

A 2030 guard that you already need to put on your radar is [player_tooltip player_id='3605266' first='Josh' last='Sanderson'] of Penn High School. Sanderson plays the role of the catch-and-shoot three point specialist right now but provides such a great complimentary piece to [player_tooltip player_id='2457404' first='Caleb' last='Coolman']. He hit a bunch of smooth looking threes throughout the day. High upside player.

There were very few players that were better than 2028 Blackford guard [player_tooltip player_id='2539991' first='Amarian' last='Leggett']. The 6'4 wing was his smooth self knocking down jumpers left and right and using his athletic ability to make plays above the rim. Was really impressed with his passing showcasing that in the lane and finding the slasher. It will not be long before his recruitment takes off.

One of the top up-and-coming big man prospects that you need to take notice of is [player_tooltip player_id='2385390' first='Max' last='Hopkins'] of Fishers HS. The the 6'8 power forward is now int he starting lineup for the Tigers and gives them a big advantage int he post. Hopkins is a high motor player that competes on the glass, makes the little plays, and can be a straight force under the basket. He is only getting better and better.
