IU Team Camp | Logan’s Under the Radar Top Performers

The Darian DeVries Indiana University Team Camp has come and gone. From top teams with nationally ranked players to solid programs looking to make names for themselves, this team camp always delivers with competitive action. Here are Logan's Top Under the Radar Performers from the IU Team Camp:    Lengthy wing that can flat out shoot it. Does a good job moving off the ball and getting himself open. At 6'6” he's able to elevate into his shot without needing much space. He's a fluid athlete that guards his position well while being a solid rebounder that can rip and run off the defensive glass. Improving his floor game off the bounce. Able to play in the mid-post against a mismatch and play over the top. Intriguing size on the wing as a knockdown shooter.     Mh first look at the 2027 Big Man out of New Albany and he has the chance to be a complete game changer for the Bulldogs this season. Not a vertical athlete but he's a paint presence with his size that deters the other team from driving in the lane. He's an excellent rebounder on both ends. Offensively he showed good hands and nice footwork with the ability to play through contact and finish with a soft touch. Good screen setter that showed his touch in pick and pop situations knocking down multiple 3's.     One of the more intriguing big man prospects that I saw today at the IU Team Camp was 6'8” 2028 Forward Gavin Scheich. A long and athletic forward that showed that he can impact the game in both ends of the floor with his size and length. Runs the floor extremely well and makes himself available. Has good hands and is quick into his move around the basket. Didn't show it in the game today but have seen in the past that can he step out and knock down catch and shoot 3's.     Much like Scheich, Petro is a long and athletic forward that can do a lot of different things on the floor to impact the game. Rebounds at a high level on both ends. Extremely mobile that showed his defensive versatility being able to guard on the perimeter and contain guards while altering and blocking shots in the paint. Offensively he showed his pick and pop game as well as his instincts as a backside cutter. Loads of untapped potential for the athletic big man once he adds more weight.     A smooth offensive wing transfer in to Bloomfield from White River Valley, [player_tooltip player_id='2560342' first='Brenden' last='Carmichael'] showed a lot of ability on the offensive end in the first time I got to see him play. Fluid athlete with lots of defensive upside. Capable of guarding multiple positions. He's a good rebounder on the defensive end with the ability to push in transition. In the half court, he was comfortable playing inside and out. Smooth stroke from the perimeter where he knocked down multiple 3's. Showed he was capable of putting the ball on the floor and getting to the basket. Also showed his activity off the ball where he made some really nice cuts and finished at the rim.     One of the best performances I have seen out of the New Albany 2027 guard. Ashton McKee is so disruptive on defense. He's a quick and athletic guard that is everywhere defensively. Solid rebounder at the guard spot and his absolutely deadly when he gets out in transition where he can show off his athleticism. In the half court he has proven to be a capable shooter off the catch but his most impressive skill is his cutting ability off the ball and finishing at the rim.
