This 6’8″ center was flying a bit under-the-radar coming into his junior season, but started to break out late in the year with Blackford High School and carried that momentum into the spring and summer. He is a mobile big man that can elevate from the dunker’s spot and beat other bigs on the rim run. Getting stronger and more comfortable with contact inside will be the next step of his development, but there are a lot of tools already present for college coaches to like.

Much like Scheich, Petro is a long and athletic forward that can do a lot of different things on the floor to impact the game. Rebounds at a high level on both ends. Extremely mobile that showed his defensive versatility being able to guard on the perimeter and contain guards while altering and blocking shots in the paint. Offensively he showed his pick and pop game as well as his instincts as a backside cutter. Loads of untapped potential for the athletic big man once he adds more weight.
