There are so many great honors and traditions associated with being an Indiana High School Basketball player. Simply getting to play in this great state is an honor in and of itself. After all, in 49 states it is just basketball...but this is INDIANA. There is no bigger honor though than being selected to participate in the Indiana All-Star series. A great week of competition culminated with the annual home-and-home between the Indiana All-Stars and the Kentucky All-Stars. Indiana completed the sweep this year defeating Kentucky 106-83 at Lexington Catholic High School on Friday before winning 94-80 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday. Here are the top performers from the two contests.

It should come as no surprise that Indiana's Mr. Basketball award winner was a standout of the weekend. Ertel, a Purdue signee, earned MVP honors on Saturday night finishing with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists while leading Indiana to victory. Despite an off shooting night in Kentucky on Friday he had 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists to still make a big impact on the game. Ertel finishes his career undefeated in Indiana All-Star competition.

Kentucky's Mr. Basketball was outstanding in both games. The versatile, athletic, 6'7" forward was a nightmare matchup for the Indiana All-Stars and finished with a pair of double-doubles despite the two losses. Feldhaus had 23 points and 12 rebounds in Lexington on Friday and then went off for 25 points and 16 rebounds on Saturday night in Indianapolis. South Florida is getting a very, very good player.

The Indiana All-Stars had nobody to stop Jackson on Friday night. He was consistently whipping defenders downhill to his right hand and using his strength to finish at the end of his drives. Jackson, a Southern Illinois signee, scored 24 points in that game to tie Shaw as the game-leader. His physical strength and ability to get to the rim off of the bounce consistently was impressive to watch.

Miller did what he does best all weekend long for the Indiana All-Stars. He dominated the glass, shot it well in the mid-range, and used his physicality to score at the rim consistently. The 6'7" SIU-Edwardsville signee finished with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds on Friday. Then, he put up 14 points and 8 rebounds in Saturday's win. He has a chance to be a star in the Missouri Valley.

Shaw was the best player on the floor for much of the second half on Friday night as the Indiana All-Stars pulled away to defeat the Kentucky All-Stars 106-83. The Illinois-Chicago signee scored 20 of his team-leading 24 points in the second half to secure the victory. His versatility and skill as a 6'6" really stood out throughout the weekend.

The consistent efficiency that Smith plays with is one of the most impressive parts of his game. A 6'8" wing headed to DePaul, Smith scored 13 points on just six shots while pulling down 12 rebounds on Friday night in Lexington. He then came out of the gate hot setting the tone with nine quick points in Saturday's game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Plainfield High School graduate was a consistently steady presence for the Indiana All-Stars.

It was a great weekend for this future Butler Bulldog. Walker did not miss a field goal on Friday night scoring 17 points before backing it up with another 17-point performance, to go along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists, in Saturday's win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Indiana All-Stars could always count on Walker for a timely three-point shot or tough floater when it mattered most.
