Brandon Ramsey | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the most talented freshman guards in the state of Indiana, Meux had a strong showing for Darius Garland Elite P32 15u at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. He shot the ball well from three-point range and used some of his physical strength to play through contact on his way to the basket and rebound from the guard spot as well. Meux has an impressive combination fo strength and skill on the perimeter. The 6’1″ true combo guard helped lead East Chicago Central to a Class 3A North Semi-State during his freshman season.

It is one thing to be a freshman putting up some big numbers against the best of the best in The Region. However, when it actually translates to winning, it becomes even more impressive. Meux, one of a few talented freshmen for East Chicago Central, averaged 10.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while helping lead the Cardinals to the Class 3A North Semi-State. He is a good shooter, but even more dangerous as a downhill driver.

Meux is the freshmen for East Chicago Central who has had the best overall season statistically for the Cardinals averaging just shy of double-figures. His size in the backcourt stands out and he is very comfortable with the ball in his hands. The 6’1″ guard scored just 3 points on one triple against Gary West Side, but his potential was very evident.

East Chicago Central has three freshmen that play big roles, but it is this 6’1″ guard who has been the best of the bunch statistically so far. Meux is an athletic, playmaking guard who averages 9.9 points per game which is good for third on the team. We are anxious to see how Meux, along with ECC’s other freshmen, stack up among some of the best Class of 2029 prospects in the state.
