With the lone live period of the spring taking place this month, it was expected to have a surplus of recruiting news. To help sort it all out, below are commitments and offers that took place over the month for the 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029 classes having to do with MD/DC prospects.

2026

Michael Parlow | 2026 | Mt. Zion Prep/[program_tooltip program_id='2076999' first='Team' last='Melo']

Parlow announced his commitment this afternoon to Robert Morris. The 6-foot-3 sharpshooter was one of the top remaining unsigned seniors in the state and will bring plenty of positive tools to the Colonials such as his three-point shot, budding athleticism and the potential to emerge as an impactful two-way option in the rotation down the road.

Bryton Barrett | 2026 | Archbishop Carroll/[program_tooltip program_id='2078456' first='DC' last='Premier']

Barrett is the latest commitment from the 2026 crop as he announced his pledge to George Mason last week. It's been an interesting journey for Barrett throughout his high school career that began at Mount St. Joe and ended at Archbishop Carroll. The 6-foot-8 hybrid forward offers some of the more intriguing long-term upside given his skill, budding skill and untapped potential that head coach Tony Skinn and staff hope to reveal during his time in Fairfax. Barrett finished as the No. 15 ranked prospect in our 2026 MD/DC rankings

Khalib Norcome | 2026 | Mt. Zion Prep/[program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill']

Norcome announced his commitment to Coffeyville Community College earlier this month. The No. 17 overall prospect in our 2026 rankings seems tailor made for the JuCo level and even with the high level of ball that the Jayhawk Conference offers, Norcome should carve out a role immediately and surface on Division I radars given his positional size and versatility. Adding polish to his offensive skillset during his stay in Kansas will be vital in adjusting his ceiling as a prospect.

Jaden Shoultz | 2026 | DeMatha

Another commitment that took place early in May was Shoultz, who will head to Richmond and play in the A10. Coming in at No. 20 overall in our rankings, Shoultz wasted little time in becoming an impact for DeMatha in his lone season for the Stags. The transfer out of Ohio became an invaluable combo guard that could slide down to the three as well given his two-way ability at 6-foot-4 with plus length.

Drew Harris | 2026 | Glenelg Country/[program_tooltip program_id='2458561' first='Global' last='Squad']

Harris announced his decommitment from Brown earlier in the month of May and his phone immediately started buzzing with programs from the LM-MM level. Ultimately he landed on Howard and pledged his commitment to the Bison as HC Kenny Blakeney was able to reel in one of the higher ceiling prospects in this class. He stands 6-foot-7 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan and a skillset that has improved steadily over the last two seasons. It wouldn't surprise me if Harris commits to the weight room and further developing his overall skill to see him as a commodity for MM and even HM programs down the road.

Gavin Edwards | 2026 | Catonsville

Edwards made a splash with his commitment to Wagner, who came into the picture somewhat late looking for an athletic guard with upside. While a few high-level JuCo's and Division II programs were in pursuit of the Baltimore County standout, Dwan McMillan and his staff bought stock in the upside that Edwards can offer. He's a stellar athlete that plays above the rim, can knock down open shots and continues to improve offensive qualities on the ball.

2027

[player_tooltip player_id='2139297' first='J'Lon' last='Lyons'] | 2027 | Clinton Grace/[program_tooltip program_id='2077004' first='Team' last='Takeover']

The No. 1 overall ranked prospect had a busy month as he added three P5 offers to the list of schools pursuing him. Between showings in EYBL play or at USA minicamp, the dynamic 6-foot-3 lead guard received offers from Butler, Missouri and Pittsburgh. He currently stands at 22 total offers to date.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353561' first='Brandon' last='Woodard'] | 2027 | Bishop McNamara/[program_tooltip program_id='2078457' first='Team' last='Durant']

Our No. 2 overall prospect in the 2027 rankings was offered by Providence. The 6-foot-8 high-flying forward can catch folks' attention quickly with his athleticism that results in blocks well above the rim or posterizing finishes or drives and lobs. There's no questioning that Woodard is one of the more explosive leapers in the high school landscape. Continuing to round out his game will be the indicator as to just how intense his recruitment gets.

[player_tooltip player_id='2407095' first='Zion' last='Green'] | 2027 | Mt. Zion Prep/Team As Promised

The No. 3 overall prospect received a couple of big offers in the month of May as he too was offered by Providence. He also added Auburn, who has seemed to become more of a presence in pursuing the DMV pool as of late as they build a foundation under Steven Pearl. Green is one of the premier prospects on the PRO16 Circuit and has strung together a productive spring as he looks to turn heads in June during the scholastic live periods.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353562' first='Ian' last='Condon'] | 2027 | Sidwell Friends/[program_tooltip program_id='2076999' first='Team' last='Melo']

Not sure there's been a prospect to generate more buzz among this local 2027 class than Condon over the last month. He picked up offers from Northwestern and Notre Dame, but has several other P5 programs watching him closely and with a strong showing in June at DC Live, could turn that heavy interest into multiple offers. The 6-foot-7 forward has proven not only that he can be a threat from outside and provide floor spacing from the four spot, but also how he can impact winning in ways the box score wouldn't show. Throughout the last two sessions of EYBL play, he's shooting over 44 percent from three with five or more three's attempted per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353549' first='Jordan' last='Taylor'] | 2027 | St. John's/[program_tooltip program_id='2076999' first='Team' last='Melo']

Condon's frontcourt mate has had a busy month himself as a result of steady production and winning from Melo's 17s group. The powerfully athletic 6-foot-5 hybrid forward has received four offers in the month from Iona, Mount Saint Mary's, St. Bonaventure and Towson. Taylor makes up for the lack of size that you'd want in a power forward with unique athleticism when playing off two. He skies for rebounds above the rim and the strength that he brings could relate to a linebacker on the football field. While he's a consistent presence around the rim on both ends, he too has proven there's some potential from outside. While he wasn't shooting as many three's as Condon, Taylor still connected on 45.5 percent of his 11 total triples in Kansas City this past weekend. Taylor currently sits at No. 11 overall in our rankings, but it's safe to say his level of play to end the high school season compounded with the momentum of this spring makes him a no-brainer for a bump in the update.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353528' first='Kirby' last='Duran'] | 2027 | Bishop McNamara/[program_tooltip program_id='2077004' first='Team' last='Takeover']

While Takeover has experience some struggles this season in EYBL play, their prospects are still generating college opportunities. Duran has battled his share of injuries, but showed promise in flashes with his play in Memphis that turned into offers from Tennessee at Chattanooga and Towson. The 6-foot-2 combo guard has one of the prettiest jumpers you'll find in the DMV.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353578' first='Daniel' last='Abass'] | 2027 | DeMatha/[program_tooltip program_id='2077004' first='Team' last='Takeover']

Abass earned an offer from UNC-Greensboro last week as the Spartans look to establish themselves in the area with a brand new staff. Abass offers a 6-foot-7 frame with plus length and can make some athletic plays above the rim that helps shift the momentum of games.

2028

[player_tooltip player_id='2273134' first='Braxton' last='Bogard'] | 2028 | Archbishop Spalding/Boo Williams

Boo Williams 16s are filled with talent and making a statement thus far in EYBL play and Bogard has been a key reason. As a result, the new coaching staff at West Virginia has re-offered the skilled, 6-foot-8 big. He's leading the team with 14.9 points per game, hauling in 7.1 rebounds and blocking 1.3 shots. Expect plenty of eyes to be on Bogard next month when he takes the floor for the June scholastic live periods. With [player_tooltip player_id='2194788' first='Xavier' last='Skipworth'] making the move to Montverde, the No. 1 spot in this local class is up for grabs and Bogard will be one that is considered as he currently sits at No. 4 overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2441539' first='Mazari' last='Browne'] | 2028 | West Nottingham/[program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill']

Browne is beginning to stack productive outings and when he's playing with a sense of urgency or purpose, college programs will begin buying in as Villanova officially offered. At 6'7"-6'8" there simply aren't many prospect in the region that can have the high-level flashes that Browne can string together. He has a fluidity to his offensive game that piques interest and makes college programs think of the long-term development as a versatile hybrid forward who can impose mismatch issues with further polish.

[player_tooltip player_id='2265685' first='Billy' last='Stanfield III'] | 2028 | Calvert Hall/[program_tooltip program_id='2076999' first='Team' last='Melo']

Stanfield is coming off a couple of nice performances in S2 and at Clash of the Titans this past weekend. Oregon is the latest school to offer the 6-foot-6 wing out of Calvert Hall, who is averaging 11.2PPG, 7.2RPG and 1.8BPG in E16 play. Stanfield ranks as the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2028 MD/DC rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='2731358' first='Eli' last='Farmer'] | 2028 | Archbishop Spalding/DC Assault

I highlighted Farmer's play this past weekend in one of my reports as the 6-foot-8 forward has put together a spring that is making him a worthy riser candidate in the next rankings update. He received his first offer from Tennessee at Chattanooga, another program doing their diligence with prospect in the DMV in hopes of establishing a pipeline for the coming years.

2029

[player_tooltip player_id='2767938' first='Jordan' last='Costley'] | 2029 | Springdale Prep/[program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill']

Costley is playing up on Thrill 16s and through the first six games of UAA play, led the team in points, rebounds and assists. After an impressive S2 showing, the rising sophomore guard picked up offers from Mississippi State and Villanova. Ranked as the No. 1 prospect in our 2029 rankings, Costley should be able to stockpile significant offers over the next few years of his high school career given his elite outside shooting, instincts and a list of other translatable skills when it comes to the college ranks.

Harlem Nunez | 2029 | Mt. Zion Prep/[program_tooltip program_id='2078457' first='Team' last='Durant']

Another 2029 prospect who is slated to boast a slew of offers over the next 2-3 years is Nunez. An intense, old school type of high-flying forward who prides himself with rim activity such as rim rattling dunks, spiking opposing players attempts into the stands and grabbing rebounds in bulk are all early indicators to college coaches that there will be plenty to work with as he continues to develop. Maryland and UMass Lowell were the first two schools to throw their hats in the race with official offers as the 6-foot-8 southpaw averages 10.3PPG, 8.4RPG and 2.7BPG for 7-0 Durant.
