How did day 2 look at the Chi-Town Tip Off? Well let me walk you through my day of what I saw at the event game by game with the prospects who made noise in Chi-Town Tip Off: Scotty B's Sunday Notebook!

[program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] EYBL 15U Opens in Dominant Fashion in 8 AM Win over [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'] Behind Trio of Star 2029 Guards

[program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] 15U opened up 22-0 in this one and never looked back winning 64-15 vs [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears']. It was their three Illinois 2029 highly touted guards who did the damage on both sides of the ball. Whitney Young 6'4” combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2886496' first='TJ' last='Jamison'] was a monster in this game as he slashed, got out in transition, consistently got to line, and hit multiple threes. Also dynamic with his length and anticipation on the defensive end as he notched 19 points in the victory. Bradley Bourbonnais 2029 point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2862587' first='Dajuan' last='Brown'] was all over the ball with his scrappy hands and quickness pressuring guards and getting steals taking them the other way for scores as he had 8 points. Thornton standout [player_tooltip player_id='2947687' first='Dakari' last='Nesbitt'] is a compact bucket getter that has shake with the rock in his hand along with a lethal jumper pouring in 9 points.

[program_tooltip program_id='2622592' first='Flight' last='Athletics'] 16U Scores W against Windy City Wolves Behind Several Under the Radar Prospects

Next up we saw [program_tooltip program_id='2622592' first='Flight' last='Athletics'] 16U score a 52-35 W over Windy City Wolves. Like what we saw from Bolingbrook projectable point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2403230' first='Jewan' last='Garner']. Long and rangy lead guard who presents some upside with his defense, handle, feel, and soft touch finishing game. Plainfield East wing [player_tooltip player_id='2837052' first='Kaleb' last='Baptiste'] is a thick forward who got on the glass and to the charity stripe. Nose for ball. Brandon Dixon of Homewood Flossmoor could emerge as a high-motor role player for HF with his toughness and physicality.

Windy City Wolves were pushed by a pair of twins from Christ the King in 6'3” duo [player_tooltip player_id='3430192' first='Xavier' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3588289' first='Havi' last='Johnson']. Xavier is a stocky scoring wing that could score around the hoop and was an excellent rebounder. Havi finished off dump off passes, got buckets through contact, multiple put backs, and flashed defensively.

Freeport Trio Emerge in FVV Elite 15U Victory vs Drake Elite

For FVV Elite 15U they were impressive in a 52-28 W against [program_tooltip program_id='3575254' first='Drako' last='Elite'] who was without their star from the previous day. FVV Elite had three Freeport High School products that put their name on the map. Their 5'8” point guard Christian Sago was super productive as the strong bodied and compact guard consistently attacked the lane with reckless abandon scoring at the rim. Passed it well on the move and was super active on the defensive end recording steals. [player_tooltip player_id='2757764' first='Zereon' last='Morris'] is a 6'3” undersized four that was great around the hoop with hook shots, converting out of dunker spot, and being efficient in the paint. [player_tooltip player_id='2684223' first='Nah'shon' last='Williams'] is most projectable long term guy at about 6'4” with long and rangy frame. All the tools are there he just has to put it together, but did drain a nice three.

Nathaniel Owel out of Rich Township was by far the best player for [program_tooltip program_id='3575254' first='Drako' last='Elite']. Well built forward at about 6'4” that mauled on the offensive glass with his toughness and second jump all game long. Can handle it a little and hit a three. He had 18 points.

City Guards Show Out for Geek Squad 17U vs Illinois Outwork

Geek Squad scored a nice 74-50 W over Illinois Outwork in 17U play. Simeon 2027 guard Keyae Lacy played to his strengths in this game and it turned into production. Athletic combo guard with a ton of juice when the ball is in his hands. Array of acrobatic layups and sweeping finishes. Quick passes on the move and played above the rim in transition. He had 23 points. De La Salle 2028 point guard Devaun Bates also was dynamic in the open floor scoring in transition along with popping multiple threes for 13 points. Oak Lawn 6'3” small forward Jeffrey Wilder is a rangy wing with projectability that could emerge as a senior.

Illinois Outwork got a massive game from Morton 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2125584' first='Angelo' last='Lazo'] as the point guard was dominant with quickness, handles, and crafty moves to the rim. Lives in the paint as he had 30 points with all except one triple coming on buckets at the rim.

[program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] EYBL 16U Takes Care of Business in Both Sunday Contest as Front Line Shines

Caught a pair of [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] EYBL 16U victories in 67-41 over We Different followed by 72-53 over Big 3. Danville long and lanky lefty four man [player_tooltip player_id='2395586' first='Amir' last='Beasley'] had one of his more consistent days we have seen out of him in his career. He looks to have grown even more since we last saw him. The face up four is at his best when using his long strides to attack the hoop which he did along with running the floor hard for big dunks. Also showed his versatility on the defensive end. Went for 13 points against Big 3. Landon Lampley out of Indiana showed why he is a nationally ranked prospect. Well built and athletic four that powered home dunks on a regular basis in both games, ran the floor hard, and displayed quickness with the ball as he had 17 points against We Different. Lyons 2028 forward [player_tooltip player_id='2538631' first='Grant' last='Smith'] had a solid day as the utility man that he is being a good defender and finding his spots to score off out of bounds plays. Small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2194655' first='Braydon' last='Porter'] from Yorkville went off in their game vs Big 3 for 17 points. Super athletic and strong bodied slasher that loves to get to the rack for scores playing above the rim with a sweet tip slam along with consistently recording buckets in transition. The guard duo of [player_tooltip player_id='2531962' first='Amir' last='Tucker'] (St. Ignatius) and [player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] (Oswego) were on point as well. Vahl's passing really stood out throughout the day throwing lobs and making heady passes on the move finding teammates for buckets. Tucker was in set up mode in the first game with a ton of nice dimes and in the second game got his points with straight line takes along with playing off his defense for scores in the open floor recording 10 points.

Quick note on Dontae Barnes from Evansville Bosse who had a massive weekend for We Different out of Indiana. Smaller scoring guard who poured in six threes en route to 26 points against [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last='']. The 2028 PG is super fun to watch!

[program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] 17U 3SSB Continues to Look Primed for Adidas with Star Power and Pieces That Fit

It was another dominant performance for [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] 3SSB 17U 75-40 over [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'] Harr. Illini commit [player_tooltip player_id='2839878' first='Mason' last='Martin'] had it rolling early on with the three ball as the elite shooter nailed four of them in the victory finishing with 20 points. Big man from Buffalo Grove [player_tooltip player_id='2323618' first='Alex' last='Sirbu'] continued his strong weekend as he looks like a prospect who will continue to emerge this spring. He was assertive with spins, hook shots, and dunks recording 14 points. Pecatonica 2027 power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2796681' first='Zion' last='Braimah'] played to his strengths with his high-motor and athleticism around the hoop getting on the offensive glass and powering in two footed slams for 10 points. Star 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2531981' first='Cole' last='Kelly'] only scored 5 points, but he left a huge impact on the game with his rebounding pushing off the glass with his handle or long outlets. The passing was about as good as we have seen it from the Neuqua star.
