One of the best events of the entire spring, not just here in Indiana but in the Midwest in general, is the annual Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. This is the premier non-live evaluation period event of the year. Division II, Division III, NAIA, and Junior College coaches will descend upon Fort Wayne, Indiana for an excellent weekend of grassroots basketball featuring many of the best teams from the surrounding states. It is also one of the best weekends of the year for scouting services to get evaluations on so many players in one area. Prep Hoops Indiana will have coverage, as always, from the opening tip-off on Friday until the final buzzer on Sunday. Here are some of the Class of 2028 prospects that you should make a point to see this weekend.

One of the teams we definitely want to check in on this weekend is [program_tooltip program_id='3587267' first='Indiana' last='Impact'] - Smith 16u. Fey is one of the stars on that team coming off of a very good sophomore season at Jimtown High School. The 6'3" guard has good size on the perimeter, uses his physicality to score off of the dribble, and can put pressure on the defense as a shooter.

There is rarely a shortage of talent coming up through the ranks at Lawrence North High School. Harper is one of several very talented sophomores at LN right now. The long, lean, 6'2" guard is a skilled guard that is ready for a breakout spring and summer. You can see him play this weekend for UNRNKD Hoops 16u.

Kobe had a monster junior season for Portage High School that really helped to solidify him as one of the top guards in Indiana's Class of 2028. The smooth, left-handed playmaker can score it from all areas of the floor and showcases good passing ability as well. He is a top prospect to watch for [program_tooltip program_id='2399422' first='Darius' last='Garland Elite'] P32 this weekend.

We had the opportunity to watch [program_tooltip program_id='2699181' first='Indiana' last='Game UA Rise'] 16u take on [program_tooltip program_id='2317250' first='Indiana' last='Elite 3SSB'] 16u at Prep Hoops The Stage a couple of weekends ago. Kostbade was a real bright spot for [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] in that matchup. The versatile 6'6" forward showed off the full range of his skill set. He stepped out to make a three-point shot, drove it right against closeouts, and used his size to score around the basket. High-upside prospect to continue to track in the Class of 2028.

There is so much talent coming through the system right now at Silver Creek High School. Makun was able to earn some varsity minutes as a sophomore, but he will be ready to step into a much larger role next season. That preparation starts this spring and summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] P32 16u. The 6'6" forward is a high-upside prospect that is worth getting eyes on now.

Don't let the fact that Sefton is playing out of state with Grand Rapids Storm UAA 16u make you for get about him. A Top 20 prospect in Indiana's Class of 2028, this 6'4" wing has already made a name for himself through two seasons at Blackhawk Christian. He size, athleticism, and ability to attack the basket should catch a lot of attention this spring and summer.

This sophomore guard from Bellmont High School can absolutely fill it up. Selking has deep range, shoots it well off of the dribble and the catch, and is a good enough athlete to create for himself inside of the arc as well. There is a lot of young talent on this LVL Up P32 16u team and Selking is definitely among the top names for college coaches to get a jump on evaluating.

We have been high on this North Central High School prospect for a while now. Smith has excellent size and length on the perimeter. Those athletic and physical tools make him a highly projectable two-way threat. He handles and passes the ball like a guard, can defend multiple positions, and creates a lot of matchup issues offensively. We look forward to seeing him more this weekend with Progeny UAA 16u.
