For the second straight game during this live period Selking came out of the gate hot for LVL Up 16u. The 6’0″ sharpshooter drilled a couple of early three-point shots and then started to attack the defense as they pressured him more on the perimeter. His perimeter shot-making ability puts so much pressure on opponents. Selking, a rising junior at Bellmont High School, was a big part of LVL Up’s impressive victory over the Gateway Knights.

LVL Up 16u nearly put up 100 points on Thursday evening and Selking, per usual, was a big part of that scoring outburst. The 6’0″ guard has proven himself as one of the top perimeter shot-makers in the rising junior class in Indiana. He does a great job of shooting it in both off of the bounce and from the catch. In this one Selking also was able to get some things done while attacking the basket, but his jump shooting ability is always what shines the most.

One of the top scorers and shot-makers in Indiana’s Class of 2028, Selking is still waiting to really capture the attention of those across the state. The 6’0″ scored 17 points on Friday which included connecting on five three-point shots. That scoring ability translates beyond Bellmont High School and makes him a legitimate Top 50 prospect in Indiana’s Class of 2028. His ability to shoot it from beyond the arc was on fully display at the Indiana All-Star Classic.

Simply being able to put the ball in the basket is one of the most important skills you can have. Few guards in Indiana’s Class of 2028 do that as well as this rising junior at Bellmont High School. Selling averaged 22.1 points per game as a sophomore while making an impressive 87 three-point shots. That shooting, and all-around scoring ability, helped the 6’0″ guard climb from the Watch List to #43 overall.

We saw Selking score 20 points in a quarter during the high school season so his scoring prowess was well known by us at Prep Hoops Indiana. However, he reiterated what we already knew with a very solid showing with LVL Up P32 16u this weekend at the Run N Slam. The 6’1″ guard averaged 20.7 points per game in five games on the weekend and made nearly half of his 52 three-point attempts. Selking can really fill it up from beyond the arc.

This sophomore guard from Bellmont High School can absolutely fill it up. Selking has deep range, shoots it well off of the dribble and the catch, and is a good enough athlete to create for himself inside of the arc as well. There is a lot of young talent on this LVL Up P32 16u team and Selking is definitely among the top names for college coaches to get a jump on evaluating.

We’ve seen this prospect play over the summer, but this was our first chance seeing him play in a high school setting. It took no time for him to capture our attention. Selking poured in 16 points for Bellmont in the first quarter alone. He was scoring from beyond the arc, at the rim, and every where in between. The super talented sophomore guard went on to lead all scorers with 30 points, but Bellmont fell to Seeger 67-66.

One of the best knockdown shooters at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was Daniel Selking Daniel Selking 6'0" | PG Bellmont | 2028 State IN from Bellmont High School. He showed smooth mechanics in his shot and, more importantly, was consistent throughout the day. Selking is an under-the-radar player to keep an eye on in the 2028 class.

Selking put up some big numbers at Bellmont as a freshman and then played very well on the UA Rise Circuit throughout the spring and summer. The talented 6’0″ guard is one of the best under-the-radar Class of 2028 prospects in northern Indiana and we are excited to see him again at the Freshman Showcase in September.

This 6’0″ guard from Bellmont High School really caught our attention when watching OPS – UA Rise 15u in May at a UAA/UA Rise Circuit event in Hamilton, Ohio. He was good once again while playing up with his team at the 16u level at the GRBA National Championship. He is such a well-rounded guard capable of running the show as a playmaker or turning it on as a scorer. Selking also rebounds well from the perimeter and is a pesky on-ball defender. Under-the-radar guard in the rising sophomore class.
