One of the top prospects in attendance, Sefton quickly stood out at Saturday’s Marian University Elite Camp. The 6’4″ guard utilized his positional size, strength, and athleticism to be a consistent two-way impact. He was excellent defensively, was always involved in the rebounding efforts, and had success attacking the rim off of the dribble. Sefton is really hard to stock when he is able to attack in a straight line downhill.

If his defender plays off, he’s a good three-point shooter with a smooth, repeatable stroke. Hard nosed defender that can guard all over the floor. Rebounds well from the wing position and pushes in transition well and is a talented playmaker with an unselfish mentality.

A top-20 prospect in the Indiana Class of 2028 that will be in the gym on Friday is Drake Sefton Drake Sefton 6'4" | SF Blackhawk Christian | 2028 State IN out of Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian HS. Sefton opted to play out of state this spring with Grand Rapids Storm so we did not get to see a ton of him but will have chance to do so this Friday. Sefton is a 6’4 perimeter player. Sefton is a talented yet underrated playmaker that can make plays both on and off the ball. Has an offer from Grace.

Drake is a part of one of the best 16U AAU clubs in Michigan. The Storm can go 10 players deep, so no one individual will ever stand out too much, but Drake’s game shines when he’s on the floor.

Drake is a really talented ball-handler. He has a great sense of control, and is unafraid to dribble into traffic when he’s bringing the ball up the floor.

Drake’s court vision is evident-I saw him make an impressive full court pass in transition during one of his team’s wins.

He’s got great personality and is a team-first kid. With his size and his skills, he has a chance to develop into an elite player in Indiana over his final two years of high school.

Don’t let the fact that Sefton is playing out of state with Grand Rapids Storm UAA 16u make you for get about him. A Top 20 prospect in Indiana’s Class of 2028, this 6’4″ wing has already made a name for himself through two seasons at Blackhawk Christian. He size, athleticism, and ability to attack the basket should catch a lot of attention this spring and summer.

The Sefton name has stuck around the Fort Wayne area for some time now and Drake is next in line. He is a very athletic guard with good size already and is one of the more advanced defenders in the class. The 6’3″ guard is averaging 5.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for a Blackhawk Christian team that will compete for a Class 3A state championship.

Sefton is so athletically gifted. He was routinely dunking in games as an eighth grader and some of that special athletic ability will allow him to transition to the varsity level sooner rather than later. There is a lineage of Sefton’s going through Grace College right now and this 6’3″ freshman guard certainly appears to be the next college basketball prospect of the family. His upside is very, very high.
