Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam – Eight 2027’s to Watch

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the best events of the entire spring, not just here in Indiana but in the Midwest in general, is the annual Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. This is the premier non-live evaluation period event of the year. Division II, Division III, NAIA, and Junior College coaches will descend upon Fort Wayne, Indiana for an excellent weekend of grassroots basketball featuring many of the best teams from the surrounding states. It is also one of the best weekends of the year for scouting services to get evaluations on so many players in one area. The 6'3" guard has great positional size, is very skilled with the ball in his hands, and shoots it very well from beyond the arc. Jordan is a dynamic point guard who had a great season for Fort Wayne South Side. He was excellent last spring, but only played in nine games as a junior due to injury. The Garrett High School 6'6" forward has shown bounciness around the rim, skill out to the perimeter, and some impressive rebounding ability in the past. He looks pretty comfortable facing up out on the perimeter and has made some open catch-and-shoot 3's. Shot is smooth. The 6'9" center has shown the ability to score with either hand some, but definitely is right hand/left shoulder dominant. You can throw it to him to score inside. Moran III is a super athletic, quick-twitch guard with valuable varsity experience for the Indians. He is an excellent passer, plays so hard at all times, and is a true leader on the floor. His communication skills are above those of most guys his age.
