The athleticism and quickness of this two-way guard stands out right away. Moran III was a major part of Portage’s excellent backcourt as a junior and has had a good spring so far with Darius Garland Elite 17u on the P32 Circuit. He was a standout once again in Dallas showing off his ability to guard all 94-feet of the court. Offensively he is a right hand driver, slasher, and threat in transition. He is a solid under-the-radar name to follow heading into the summer.

There are a lot of talented guards coming up through the system at Portage High School right now. Moran III is a super athletic, quick-twitch guard with valuable varsity experience for the Indians. He will be playing with Darius Garland Elite P32 17u this weekend at the Run N Slam. Due to their circuit schedule this is one of just a few times that you can catch them locally.

Moran III is part of a dynamic Portage backcourt and helped move the Indians to 16-0 with a 67-56 win over Michigan City on Friday night. He scored 12 points in the game.

Playing with Darius Garland Elite 2027, Moran III is a skilled 6’0″ guard from Portage High School that stood out with is all-around scoring ability. He is a smooth, fluid athlete that can get downhill to finish at the rim, create his own shot in the midrange, or shoot it from beyond the arc. Moran III is certainly skilled on the perimeter with the ball and has the requisite physical and athletic tools to be projectable as he continues to develop.

A 6’0″ guard from Portage High School, this prospect had a very strong showing on Sunday at our event. He scored it from all three levels at different times knocking down an open three-point shot, getting into the paint to finish with a floater, and going coast-to-coast after a steal for a layup. Moran III is a skilled perimeter player that looks the part athletically and can clearly put the ball in the basket. He really got hot for a couple of stretches at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.
