One of the more intriguing bigs that I got a chance to watch for the first time was Tomislav Kostelac Tomislav Kostelac 6'10" | PF Culver Academy | 2027 State IN of Cilver Academies. Kostelac is a 6’10 post prospect that runs with Team Indiana 2027 and brings a very intriguing skillset for his size. He is still raw, but his length is a major advantage and seems to know how to get to the right spots around the basket. He scores with a soft touch, as well.

Big Tomislav Kostelac Tomislav Kostelac 6'10" | PF Culver Academy | 2027 State IN for Indiana Elite Team Indiana 17u isn’t going to be real flashy on the court but he is productive. At 6’10”, he’s a big bodied forward that moves well for his size being able to impact the game inside the paint on both ends of the floor. Strong rebounder that outlets well. He runs the floor hard and fights for position. Has a nice soft touch over his left shoulder and has shown the ability to knock down a perimeter jumper off the catch.

Kostelac is a big, strong 5-man. He looks pretty comfortable facing up out on the perimeter and has made some open catch-and-shoot 3’s. Shot is smooth. The 6’9″ center has shown the ability to score with either hand some, but definitely is right hand/left shoulder dominant. You can throw it to him to score inside. Coaches across all levels in attendance at Run N Slam should make it a point to watch Indiana Elite Team Indiana 17u and evaluate Kostelac.

Admittedly, we haven’t had a chance to see this 6’6″ forward play very much since he came over to Culver Academy. However, based on some brief looks at the IU Team Camp and Charlie Hughes Showcase in June we know he is an intriguing prospect worth following. We look forward to seeing more of this skilled international prospect this winter.
