Kyler's 2027 Under-The-Radar Prospects That Impressed This Summer

The AAU season has all but officially wrapped up as we wind down from what has been an exciting last few months of basketball. From April to July, our prospects from the state of Indiana have put in a lot of work playing in a host of different events in multiple locations throughout the country. Our Prep Hoops Indiana Team has gotten eyes on nearly every prospect in the state and have been able to evaluate them. Going back and looking through my notes on the players I have seen, I thought this would be a good time to talk about 10 under-the-radar prospects that stood out to me. Here are the next five players.    One of the more intriguing frontcourt prospects I got a chance to watch over the past few months was Culver Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='2882227' first='Tomislav' last='Kostelac']. The first time I got a chance to watch him was at the Run N Slam back in spring and he right away stood out with his length and soft touch around the basket. A big that has good footwork for his size with potential to stretch out his game a bit more.     A strong case can be made that [player_tooltip player_id='2141019' first='James' last='Hughes'] was the biggest stock riser in our rankings this past summer. Although he had a bit of injury troubles at times, he finished off the summer strong with [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy']. He is a bigger wing that can score from the outside and as a driver as well. Small schools should be all over him as he heads into his senior season.     There were a few players over the summer that surprised me and made me go "wow" and one of those players was [player_tooltip player_id='2140343' first='Chase' last='Edmundson'] of Brebeuf Jesuit. I saw him a few times before this summer but during Charlie Hughes was when I came away really impressed with him. One of the more naturally athletic prospects in the state that can play both on the wing and through the lane. He can be a difference maker for Brebeuf this upcoming season.     An under-the-radar guard that I got a chance to see again this summer was [player_tooltip player_id='2560646' first='Sunjay' last='Narsinghani'] of Noblesville HS. The Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament was where I got to watch him again and it was his toughness that stood out. A player with some solid IQ on the ball, Narshinghani competed hard on the defensive end and often time was the starting point for the offense. It will be interesting to see him play in a much more important role for Noblesville this season.     Back at Run-N-Slam, I got a chance to watch a lot of under-the-radar prospects and one of them was [player_tooltip player_id='2140378' first='Jack' last='Van Order']. Van Order ran its [program_tooltip program_id='2470527' first='Indy' last='Heat Red'] the thing that impressed me the most was his aggressiveness on the attack. Really like his length and willingness to compete in the backcourt. Should be a standout for Carroll this season after a strong summer.
