Handing out All-State honors by graduating class, starting with the seniors in the Class of 2026.

Stats in italics are per game for the entirety of the 2025-2026 basketball season.

Player of the Year: [player_tooltip player_id='1765515' first='Jaidyn' last='Coon'] (Storm Lake)
22.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.7 steals, 53.2 FG%

Finishing a stellar prep career for the Tornadoes, Coon was recently crowned the state of Iowa's Mr. Basketball. Deserving the award in every sense, Coon showed off rare athleticism, playmaking off-the-dribble, the ability to catch-and-shoot from three, throw down thunderous, jaw-dropping dunks and more. A player that rose from a little-known commodity in northwest Iowa with some Division I looks, Coon sharpened his game over the final two years of his career, becoming one of the better preps in recent memory to play in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1765553' first='William' last='Gerdes'] (Cedar Falls)
21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2 blocks, 3.1 assists, 75.6 FG%, 41 3PT%

Speaking of forwards that took a major step their senior season -- Gerdes, a Northern Iowa commit, looks like he'll fit in incredibly well with Ben Jacobson and his hometown Panthers after earning our Mout Outstanding Player of the 2025-26 4A State Basketball Tournament. A ridiculously efficient scorer from the field, Gerdes made over three-fourths of the shots he attempted, as a near automatic bucket when he got a paint touch. Great at establishing position in the post and finishing with soft touch, Gerdes was one of, if not the best big in the state this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1978099' first='Colin' last='Rice'] (Waukee Northwest)
21.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.2 steals, 2.2 blocks, 53.5 FG%, 42.9 3PT%, 80.4 FT%

Another late-riser, Rice became a heavily-coveted high-major prospect this last summer after leading the Wolves to a state title appearance during his junior campaign. Among the best pure scorers the state has to offer, the future Nebraska Cornhusker has a silky-smooth jumper that feels like it's almost always going to go down. Making some incredibly tough shots, and even putting up a 50-point performance in the playoffs, the best may be ahead for Rice in a fast-paced offense in Lincoln.

[player_tooltip player_id='1978106' first='Shay' last='Stephens'] (Burlington Notre Dame)
24.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 3.1 steals, 61.6 FG%, 36.5 3PT%, 70.9 FT%

An utterly dominant point guard, Stephens did a little bit of everything for the Nikes this winter. A scorer, facilitator, rebounder and defender, Stephens passes the eye test, and it worthy of much more than the lone Division I offer he got during his prep career. Headed to Western Illinois, don't be surprised if the larger schools come calling after they see what he can do against Summit League competition in his first two years of college ball. Stephens took over games during his senior campaign, and if that translates up, the sky could be the limit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1172887' first='Tevin' last='Schultz'] (Dubuque Senior)
24.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 64 FG%, 39.8% 3PT%, 78.1 FT%

A constant piece of the rotation and a starter for the majority of his career at Senior, Schultz helped lead the Rams to three-straight state tournament appearances from his sophomore to senior years. The Rockhurst (DII) signee is a basketball nut that continually developed his skillset over his career, making his attempts from the field, the three-point line and charity stripe with consitency and serving as the rock of the Rams roster, who only lost three games all year.

Second Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='1643192' first='Landon' last='Davis'] (Waukee Northwest)
[player_tooltip player_id='1777914' first='Jaydon' last='Kimbrough'] (Cedar Falls)
[player_tooltip player_id='1978115' first='Trey' last='Bryte'] (ADM)
[player_tooltip player_id='1978100' first='Jaxon' last='Clark'] (Keokuk)
Hudson Lorensen (ADM)
