Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
Crane set the tone early for the Maroons, blocking shots on each of Senior’s first two possessions and Dowling never really looked back after that. The 6-10 big man was able to roam all over the floor on the defensive end, with Dowling assigning him to a very limited offensive option, allowing him to rotate freely and protect the paint. He blocked 6 shots and completely altered the way that Senior, a team that likes to play inside-out, was able to attack Dowling. He finished with 16 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 6 blocks in the Maroons’ win.

In a 2026 class loaded with size and Division I talent, Crane is another one. A 6-10 center who is headed to Navy, he’s the type of big, athletic big man who can run the floor, pass out of the post, and protect the rim at an elite level that college coaches covet. He’s averaging 13.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game.
