was on a mission all day, putting together a stellar performance in the Gaels’ run to the state championship game. Scoring with ease — other than when he was sent to the bench in the first half with two early fouls — Horn was a major reason why the Gaels dominated much of the game against Burlington Notre Dame. Playing in a manor that felt like he was a near-automatic bucket every time he touched the rock, Horn went 8-of-14 from the field and 11-of-14 from three to lead the scoring effort on behalf of the Gaels, putting up 27 points. He added 11 boards for a double-double, looking like the All-State caliber scorer he is, and potentially priming St. Edmond for another state title under Adolph Kochendorfer in his final year of serving as the head coach for the Gaels.

got going and provided all the firepower for the Gaels in their first round, 60-44 win over the Tigers.
A mid-range machine and a monster on the offensive boards for put-backs, the senior wing finished with 17 points and nine rebounds, adding seven offensive rebounds. Also making his lone three-point attempts on the day, Horn’s ability to shoot spread out the Woodbine defense and made it easier for teammates to attack the basket.

Horn is the best player on the #1 seeded team in the 1A tournament. A 6-5 combo forward who can score inside and out, he can be a truly dominant scorer who takes over games. He’s averaging 26.2 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game on 57% shooting. He has great footwork and can overpower smaller defenders on the block, but he’s also a good enough ball-handler to take bigger defenders off the dribble.
