Expert Analysis

Trey Brytre dominated for ADM throughout the state tournament. His rebounding impact was extremely imperative to ADM’s success. He cleaned the glass on both ends of the floor with his strength, leaping, and hustle. He was relentless when it came to tracking down missed shots and gaining his team possessions. These rebounds led to many high-efficiency looks for his team. And he locked down his opponents by limiting them to single possessions. He scored around the rim at a high clip with his strength, touch, and footwork. In the interior, he was a bruiser that put his shoulder into defenders and created space for his post hooks. The midrange was also an area where he displayed scoring abilities as well. His playmaking skills were great. He created the bulk of his team’s buckets with his scoring threat and his ability to see over the defense and find his teammates for open looks. Trey was great on the defensive end too. He showed himself to be very fluid and strong. He was great at using his frame and length to disrupt opponents and keep them out of the paint.

The 6-4/6-5 lead guard had a pretty quiet first three quarters, but he took over the game down the stretch in regulation in was great in both overtimes periods. He has complete command of the offense, a great feel for the game, knowing when to attack and when to facilitate, and he does a great job using his body to shield the ball on his drives. He made a really tough runner at the end of regulation to even get the game into overtime, and then made two huge free throws with 10 seconds left in the second overtime to give ADM the lead. He finished with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win.

A 6-6 point guard who controls the game on every possession, Bryte is a nightly threat for a triple-double, posting several of them this season. His size is a major advantage on the offensive end, allowing him to post up smaller defenders, shoot over them in the mid-range, and see over them as he sets the table for his teammates. He’s averaging 14.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks on 57-43-81 shooting splits.
