Youth was on display Tuesday at the Minnesota State Tournament. Who were those young talents on the Target Center floor? Have a look at Prep Hoops!

[player_tooltip player_id='2400080' first='Nolan' last='Greene'] of Lakeville South (Soph). What stood out to me today the most about Nolan is the perimeter shooting form, touch and comfort as he knocked out a pair of threes. Greene defends, he goes at the basket very well for a 6'5 forward, and he plays an all around game hence the 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. The all around game is matured, but in my viewings this year it appears the perimeter touch has taken a nice step forward as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2419997' first='Gio' last='Horton'] of Apple Valley (Fr). The Eagles pulled the upset off with balance and Horton had a great deal to do with that. He scored 14 points including a late three and late attacking score. His 14 points on four of eight shooting including two threes made was vital to the Eagle win. Imagine that, the upset of the year and a freshman had a massive impact on it on the Target Center floor!

[player_tooltip player_id='2841981' first='Jed' last='Keenan'] of Chaska (Fr). As we continue to talk about which freshman is going to be the top prospect or prospects that colleges ultimately go after in a few years, Keenan is a name towards the front of that conversation. He is an excellent shooter in a 6'6 frame at 14/15 years old and today he made a pair of threes on his way to a supporting ten point showing. At 6'6, smart, skilled and a matured team game beyond his years, Keenan is off to a great start in his career as a player and prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2394170' first='Alex' last='Loos'] of Goodhue (Soph). I have spoken so highly of Alex this year I don't know that I can say much more without a giant cut and paste. He was good at the line with his three threes and he scored his 20 points efficiently at 7 of 11 shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='2561052' first='Chase' last='Maetzold'] of Chaksa (Soph). The Chaska 23 game win streak has been a team effort with different guys stepping forward. Today against Lakeville South it was Maetzold that led the way. His five three pointers made on his way to a 19 point game was crucial (7 of 11 shooting overall, 5 of 9 at the arc) as the Maetzold perimeter touch at 6'6 is going to open a lot of doors for him. But the ten rebounds was just as important including nine of them on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560458' first='Emmanuel' last='Oyesanmi'] of Tartan (Soph). With Emmanuel I feel like he always gives his team efficiency. Sometimes he may shoot it from the perimeter well and other times not like most players, but everything else he does is efficient. Scored 14 points on 6 of 11 shooting with five boards and a solid all around effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396393' first='Cody' last='Ryan'] of Goodhue (Soph). I think Cody is going to emerge massively this summer and the next two varsity years. Played his role against today making five shots for 11 points with seven boards and two blocks, and the learning experience he is rapidly getting with his team is invaluable to the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560499' first='Kevin' last='Wilson Jr.'] of Tartan (Soph). It was another early impact game for Wilson quickly hitting three threes and dishing out four playmaking assists. The overall shooting numbers weren't great at 5 of 17 for 16 points but the instant playmaking was once again a big factor in the win.

Others

[player_tooltip player_id='2521853' first='Justus' last='Dayee'] of Tartan (Fr). Dayee scored once, blocked two shots and rebounded five times in his 11 minutes.

Isaiah Farrell of Perham (Soph). Scored ten points on 4 of 8 shooting with three rebounds and a steal in the loss.

Jacob Kruger of Jackson County Central (Fr). Grabbed a couple boards and had an assist.

[player_tooltip player_id='3046506' first='Blaise' last='Rowe'] of Jackson County Central (Soph). Knocked out a three on his way to a seven point game shooting 3 of 5.

[player_tooltip player_id='2954043' first='Henry' last='Semans'] of Blaine (Soph). Tough shooting day at 3 of 15 but scored eight points with five boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2406558' first='Nicholas' last='Vanheel'] (Soph). Played 11 minutes and made them all count scoring four times for eight points with a couple boards and an assist.
