This New Haven junior had a breakout season and it culminated with a strong showing at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the Class 3A State Championship game. Baskerville II finished with 20 points and 5 steals, but his team came up short falling to Cathedral 71-61.

We always joke here at Prep Hoops Indiana that it isn't a true top performers article unless [player_tooltip player_id='1728587' first='Luke' last='Ertel'] is included. Well, here we are writing about the Indiana Mr. Basketball front-runner once again. The Purdue signee scored 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead Mt. Vernon (Fortville) to a 52-50 win over Crown Point.

Peterson is the perfect front court X-Factor to play alongside two Division I perimeter players for Cathedral. The strong, athletic, 6'4" junior finished with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Fighting Irish's 71-61 win over New Haven in the Class 3A State Championship game.

Shaw didn't get to cut down the nets at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, but he proved on Saturday why he is considered one of the top players in the state of Indiana. Illinois-Chicago is getting a steal. The 6'6" wing was a dominant two-way force throughout the game finishing with 24 points and 9 rebounds. However, Crown Point fell short 52-50 against Mt. Vernon (Fortville).

It is hard to describe just how explosively athletic [player_tooltip player_id='1561435' first='Julien' last='Smith'] is until you actually watch him on the basketball floor. The sub-6'0" guard can play well above the rim as he showed by grabbing six offensive rebounds and providing legitimate rim protection at times. He finished with 21 points to lead all scorers in the game along with 9 rebounds as Cathedral defeated New Haven 71-61.

Vise continued his Indiana Junior All-Star campaign on Saturday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The 6'8" forward was the perfect running mate for Ertel finishing with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots as the Marauders defeated Crown Point 52-50.
