Peterson is the perfect front court X-Factor to play alongside two Division I perimeter players for Cathedral. The strong, athletic, 6’4″ junior finished with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Fighting Irish’s 71-61 win over New Haven in the Class 3A State Championship game.

Peterson scored a team-leading 20 points in Cathedral’s win over Indianapolis Metropolitan. The Fighting Irish split their roster and had two teams participating on Tuesday night and Peterson is the one who really captured our attention at the Pacers Athletic Center. The 6’4″ forward stepped out to hit a couple of three-point shots, but was at his best using his impressive strength and athleticism around the basket. He is tough to handle at the rim.

Another late summer standout at the GRBA National Championship in Fort Wayne, Peterson was excellent in the games we watched of Indiana Elite Team Indiana 15u. The 6’4” forward from Cathedral High School has a big, strong frame but moves around very well and has impressive ball skills. He finished offensive rebound putbacks at the rim, scored inside using his size when attacking closeouts, and stepped into a couple catch-and-shoot three-point shots. There is a lot of talent at Cathedral High School, but his size and versatility could potentially allow him to carve out some varsity time this winter.
