Have watched a lot of games of Brammer's since his freshman year at Southmoore. He's had his moments and produced during in person viewings, but it always seemed that his best games came when I wasn't in attendance. For the first 10 quarters of Brammer and Newcastle's State Tournament, that concept was holding true. I was at the quarterfinal win over East Central and the senior was quiet. Missed the semifinals on Friday night, and he led the Racers in scoring when they won over Midwest City.

For the first half of Saturday's title game, it was more of the same. Had a few turnovers and was quiet again as a scorer. Brammer was simply saving his best for last. He sparked the Newcastle's stalled offense with big time shot making from all over the court. And even was trusted with the shot to break the tied game in the closing second. A nothing but net from three to deliver Newcastle the Class 5A State Championship. One of the most signature shots of the 2025-26 season and the 2020s came from a four year grinder who always produced.

Billingsley authored one of the best individual State Tournament runs of the last decade. Ending it with the game winning assist in the final seconds of the Class 6A State Title game. His fingerprints were all over the late game wins, literally. As long along with the game winning dime in the title game, he made clutch steals in the quaretfinals and semifinals. On Wednesday it was giving Norman life with a late game steal that sparked a miraculous comeback and eventual overtime win. On Thursday it was the game clinching steal to ice the victory. It was a great ending to a storied career. Billingsley has been a four year contributor for the Tigers. And over the last two years, he's steadily added steel and leadership to his flashy play. Which equalled Gold for the Tigers.

Winner is the best way to describe Wilks. After leading the Falcons to the Class 3A championship last year, he one opened it by quarterbacking the Falcons to an undefeated season against Oklahoma competition. Which has made them arguably the best team in Oklahoma all season long. He's an old school floor general, who's best assets are his consistency and quickness. Plays with a non stop motor, from pressuring the rim to score himself and create for others. While also playing tough as nails defense. With his improved three point jumper over the last two years, there's no holes in Wilks' offensive game. Leaving no doubt as he picked up his second State Championship medal, and is starting to fill his personal trophy case with Player of the Year Awards.

During Forsythe's high school career, he likely didn't get talked enough as one of the best bucket getters in Oklahoma. Went out with back to back 30+ games and putting on absolute show as a shooter and physical finisher. For some reason there seemed to be some that expected that Dale would drop off at some point over the last two seasons. But every time Forsythe and his teammates answered the bell. They dominated Class 2A in similar fashion as the groups that came before them. Players like the senior who shoot the ball and play as hard as he does tend to be hard to be taken off the floor. So expect the skilled scoring guard to start grinding his way to minutes at Tulsa as a freshman.

Duffie led the Commandos to their first State Title since 2009. And it was the perfect evolution of Duffie's high school career. Freshman year, Cascia reached the semifinals. Sophomore year, Cascia lost in the finals. Junior year, Cascia won gold. And it came because Duffie took the reigns and made the team of sharpshooters, talented scorers and athletes run beautifully. He's not what some would view as a traditional PG, but his strong frame and feel for the game allow him to shrug off intense ball pressure and be the catalyst for the Commandos. If he carries over the same level of intensity and production from the state tournament to grassroots season, expect the offers to roll in for the 918 standout.

Even on a court with three of Oklahoma's best seniors, there were moments that the sophomore was the best player in the game. He took it right at the best defense in the state, putting on a show to start the game. Unbelievable balance and core strength for his age and height, able to take the bumps from older players and navigate his way to the rim or hitting in the mid-range. Only hit one triple in the contest, but have seen him have serious range from deep before. Clearly after two high school seasons he's one of the best players in Oklahoma, regardless of class.

The senior guard put a capper on possibly one of the more overlooked recent Oklahoma careers. He's gone for Gold three years straight in Class A, absolutely dominating the classification with double digit wins being the norm. Often winning by 20+ points. Which was the case this year as the Warriors dominated the Class A State Tournament. And a lot of comes from Mueggenborg's ability to process the game quickly. Great anticipation and feel for the game shows up on both ends of the court. Always in the passing lanes for steals and has always had great vision and feel as a passer. Complete guard, with winning traits who should help raise the floor and fit naturally into the UCO program.

The workhorse in the middle for Mustang. Was all over the rims all week, including dominating via the dunker spot. So many oops and other explosive finishes around the rim as the perfect vertical threat. Great anticipation when attacking the offensive glass as well. Then in the title game, they even got him going on post ups late when they needed buckets. Smith is a bet on production prospect, because he's a steady producer who plays to his current strength. A triple hit against Putnam City North indicates there is room for his game to grow on his outstanding foundation of being an athletic, vertical threat.

While the Titans came up short in the title game, Rogers etched his named in Carl Albert lore with his clutch shooting during the tournament run. First it was forcing overtime and then winning it in overtime with their quarterfinal win over Class 5A favorites, Booker T Washington. Then went for 19 points on a very efficient shooting performance over school district rivals Del City in the semifinals. As a sharpshooter, Rogers took his game to new levels for his senior season.

Barrett finished his high school career the exact same way it's been since he stepped on the court for Millwood as a sophomore. As an absolute dog with arguably the best motor in the state. He pulled down a game high 14 rebounds in the title game, and averaged a double double for the tournament. Along with his remarkable intensity on the glass, he has some of the quickest hands in the state. Leading to pick pocket steals, big time blocks at the rim and deflections. Finished his high school career with back to back State Titles.
