While the Titans came up short in the title game, Rogers etched his named in Carl Albert lore with his clutch shooting during the tournament run. First it was forcing overtime and then winning it in overtime with their quarterfinal win over Class 5A favorites, Booker T Washington. Then went for 19 points on a very efficient shooting performance over school district rivals Del City in the semifinals. As a sharpshooter, Rogers took his game to new levels for his senior season.

Seniors are what made March magical and Rogers did just that with 21 points. Big buckets throughout and saved his best for when it mattered the most. He went 11-13 on FTs and most importantly a perfect three for three to send the game into overtime. Then in the closing seconds of overtime, after there was a scramble and chaos, Rogers found the boy at the top of the key. He remained calm and poised and swished the game winning three like it was just another practice rep. Signature clutch moment for one of the best shooters in the Class of 2026.

Carl Albert is a great example of the concept of the “whole being great than the sum of it’s parts”. And Rogers is a very important part for the 5A contending Titans. He’s been a steady shooter for a bit now and a key part of a lot of wins. But don’t mistake steady as not having high points. As a junior he hit 9 three pointers against Marlow. And this season he has been a weapon for the Titans, who went undefeated in District play. After missing State for the first time in over a decade last year, Rogers will be a key part of establishing a new State Tournament streak for Carl Albert. And possibly even their first Gold Ball since 2021.
