Marquilos is back, and this is his time to prove that his presence can swing a game. He has only started since the new year, and he's been able to get back to being a scorer. He's also shooting the ball at a high clip, and we know the kind of floor spacer that he can be. That will have to be on display, and he has to be surgical in their playoff game. He will have to be engaged and locked in on both ends of the floor, but they will need him to get back to dominating offensively. Vista Peak is up against a solid Centaurus team in Round 1. They will travel out there and hope that Mata looks like the top player on the floor.

Hahn is a prospect who jumped on our scene sophomore season as he was very complete. He grabbed boards, scored in bunches, and took over at moments, and we saw some of that this season as well. This year, he had another balanced season. He's putting up 6.5 points and just under 5 rebounds a game. He uses his length to get to his spots, he attacks and gets to the FT line, and can shoot the 3-ball at times. In their playoff game, we will have to see him getting back to being productive in every facet of the game. An explosive game can extend the season for him, and he will be looked at as the secret weapon who could swing a game. Excited to see which Hahn we get.

Sandoval is the team's leading scorer, and the senior guard has been who the team has looked to to lead the way. He's the captain on the floor who teams try and take away, and he still consistently leads the team. He's in a very good stretch offensively where he's putting up double-digit scoring, being quick to make decisions with the ball in his hands, and he's also shooting the ball better than he ever has. He'll need that as they face a rowdy group that is battle-tested. It will be on him to have one of his best games of the season and keep the season alive.

Centaurus is a very tight and connected bunch that is about balance. On any given night, it could be any player who steps up and a bright spot all season is Senior big man, [player_tooltip player_id='2706211' first='Nick' last='Jones']. Jones uses all of his 6'7 frame to take over in games. Centaurus is currently riding a 5-game winning streak and looks to extend that behind its interior presence. He's averaging 10 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and a block a game. He's stepping up defensively and getting out and running the break and punishing defenders, and that has opened things up for the team. They will need more of that, and he should be a player who easily wins his matchups.

Smith is on a mission and has been for the past few seasons, and now gets to prove himself yet again. I bet he's up for it as he's a 6'3 wing who stays on the attack. He's had a few stretches this season where defenses could not slow him down. He was getting to his spots, being assertive and demanding attention his way. In his best games of the season, Erie has typically won, which shows the impact that he has in games. His teammates will look for more of that as they go into the most important game of the season. He's a prospect who could put the team on his back and deliver a win, and we're banking on it.

Lyle is a prospect who leaped this year and is looking like one of the go-to guys in the conference. Now with a big 1st round matchup in front of him, teammates will look for him to be the same 6'7 pest who impacted the game with his inside scoring. He hit floaters, turn around, and mid-range shots. Lyle was able to run the baseline and finish around the basket, and his size was effective. He's had some big games where he finished with double-digits on great efficiency. He secured boards and went right up and was one of the players to know. Big game for him that we expect him to step up in.
