Patrick Hahn
About Patrick
Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Hahn is a prospect who jumped on our scene sophomore season as he was very complete. He grabbed boards, scored in bunches, and took over at moments, and we saw some of that this season as well. This year, he had another balanced season. He’s putting up 6.5 points and just under 5 rebounds a game. He uses his length to get to his spots, he attacks and gets to the FT line, and can shoot the 3-ball at times. In their playoff game, we will have to see him getting back to being productive in every facet of the game. An explosive game can extend the season for him, and he will be looked at as the secret weapon who could swing a game. Excited to see which Hahn we get.

Hahn is showing that his size and length makes him a valuable piece for Erie and a player whose stock should continue to rise. He uses his physical tools well, staying in front of opponents defensively and contesting shots without fouling. On offense he plays decisive basketball with his quick release and willingness to go up strong making him tough to guard, especially against smaller defenders. His ability to impact the game with defense, strength and efficiency makes him a reliable presence on both ends and positions Hahn as a high upside contributor as the season develops

is a hooper who will get you a bucket on all three levels on offense. Hahn is a difficult assignment for any defender as he can attack the rim at will and convert on difficult shots across the floor. What impresses me most about Hahn’s style of play is his ability to change pace and make defenses wonder what he’ll do next.

Hahn is a 6’2 wing who averaged 9.4 points and 4.2 rebounds a game as a sophomore and heads into junior year ready for more. Hahn plays with consistent energy and effort. He’s active in every phase of the game: rebounding, defending, and running the floor. He’s not known as a primary shooter, but is capable when needed. He thrives in help defense and makes winning plays as he gets his nose in every play. With a strong core returning, Hahn steps into a leadership role and brings dependable production on both ends of the floor, and that will be on display as Erie looks to turn heads at Colorado Live.

is usually the best player on the court at all times. Hahn differentiates his pace often, and leaves defenses confused and helpless with his scoring annihalation. You can find Hahn with a smile on his face on and off the court, as his love for the game is evident. Still developing, it’s scary how great Hahn can become.

Hahn’s willingness to attack the basket has allowed him to take full advantage of his physical tools at an early stage. Not many guards in this class bring his relentless attitude towards attacking downhill, constantly keeping opposing defenses honest off the bounce. His physical tools allows him to hold his own against bigger guards and some wings, staying strong when needed on drives.

Hahn has leveraged his physical tools and mindset to create numerous shot attempts in the paint, at his best while attacking downhill. Comfortable going at the rim versus contests, the wing has solidified himself as a steady offensive weapon within this group’s halfcourt offense. Comfortable drawing contact, he currently leads Erie in free throw attempts, already a fairly strong perimeter presence within this class. Putting up 11.4 points and 4 rebounds per game, Hahn is off to a terrific start with Erie.

Hahn’s defensive instincts paired with efficiency behind the arc make him a particularly intriguing prospect going into next season. Bringing in good strength and a bit more bounce than expected, his rim protection is a legitimate asset for him in the coming seasons.

Hahn is a fairly strong shooting guard who provided impactful help side defense given his height and capable verticality while protecting the rim. Tasked with guarding bigger opponents, Hahn proved his is up to the task of unorthodox matchups when necessary. The guard hit quite a few threes on the weekend, one of the better floor spacers for that BC Elite team.
