4A section 4 in Minnesota High School Basketball might be the deepest section of prospects and teams with 18-0 #1 ranked Tartan, 16-4 #6 ranks Cretin-Derham Hall, 15-4 #7 East Ridge, and 18-2 St. Paul Central.

Tartan

Kevin Wilson Jr - Wilson is our #2 prospect in the 2028 class and the six-foot sophomore has been lighting up the scoring column since last year for Tartan. KJ is a hyper active offensive guard who is a fantastic finisher around the basket for his size. He's fast and quick and shoots the ball at a very high percentage from the perimeter. Through 8 recorded games he's averaging 22 points per game.

https://twitter.com/FreshCoastHoops/status/2019888038449713391

[player_tooltip player_id='2119645' first='Tyrel' last='Pride'] - The 2026 six-foot-two-inch Pride has seemingly fit in at Tartan. Previously Pride was handling the ball and offensive load more significantly last season at St. Paul Johnson. Pride has excelled at hitting more open 3-pointers for Tartan and still bringing tough perimeter defense. Pride scored 21 points versus Mahtomedi recently and through 13 games he was averaging 11.7 points, 3.5 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals while blocking an occasional shot.

https://twitter.com/tyrelp3/status/2019472834897305795

[player_tooltip player_id='2465512' first='Duke' last='King'] - The 2026 six-foot-five-inch King is long and lengthy with a 6'11 wingspan. King is a tough perimeter defender that covers a lot of ground quickly with good lateral movement. Offensively he's a slash, transition runner and finisher, and plays like forward.

https://twitter.com/showt1medk/status/2018136102675038620

[player_tooltip player_id='2560458' first='Emmanuel' last='Oyesanmi'] - The six-foot-four-inch Oyesanmi is our #3 prospect in the 2028 class and the impressive Tartan athlete shows why defensively. In 8 recorded games Oyesanmi is averaging 13 points per game. Oyesanmi used to be looked at as a wing for size and length and now he's settling into a more natural guard position. He attacks the rim well from the perimeter and is a legit threat from the perimeter as a spot-up shooter.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DUTeJ7xANyx/?hl=en

[player_tooltip player_id='2463782' first='Jevon' last='Foote'] - Foote is a six-foot-three-inch 2029 wing for Tartan that impressed during the summer playing with PJ Hoops JR EYBL team. Foote a long and athletic left-handed wing that has a growing perimeter offensive game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q-O8hEhOYI

[player_tooltip player_id='2521853' first='Justus' last='Dayee'] - The six-foot-six-inch 2029 forward as an 8th grader averaged 12 and 10 at Simley before transferring this season to Tartan. Dayee is a long and agile forward that is ahead of nearly all other prospects in the 2029 class. He moves well in the post and anchors a very good Uncheckable Sizzle team in the spring and summer.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hMSVubpUimI

[player_tooltip player_id='2835388' first='Kenny' last='Brown'] - The six-foot-seven-inch 2028 wing from Tartan Brown is playing mostly JV this season. Brown size and length make him a problem inside as he can finish easily off two-feet and defensively he reaches extended beyond his height.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTji9nNAC7y/

[player_tooltip player_id='2124212' first='Jaylen' last='Goergen'] - Goergen is a six-foot-two-inch 2026 combo guard for Tartan that has been offered by NCU (North Central University in Minnesota). Goergen is a good athlete for his size, and functions well as an additional ball handler in the Tartan attack.

https://twitter.com/NSPNminnesota/status/2002078795252015255

Cretin-Derham Hall

Joseph Mitchell - The six-foot-two-inch 2026 guard from Cretin-Derham Hall has already committed to the University St. Thomas to play basketball at the college level. Mitchell, who can be your lead scorer like he is for the Raiders, 22.2 points per game, and your lead distributor like he is for the Raiders, 4 assists per game, is the lead guard type. What makes Mitchell so effective as a scorer is he's an elite perimeter shooter with a 46% 3-pointer shot on 69 makes this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126094' first='Ty' last='Schlagel'] - The six-foot-five-inch 2027 guard Schlagel is averaging 20 points per game for the Raiders. Schlagel is such a skilled offensive player with his footwork, fakes, and spot-up shooting. Schlagel, who committed to Nebraska, is playing AAU this spring and summer with Team Herro.

[player_tooltip player_id='2419839' first='Dre' last='Frierson-Hollie'] - Frierson-Hollie is a six-foot-six-inch forward for Cretin that is averaging 10 points per game and 5 rebounds. Frierson-Hollie is an inside post scorer getting the majority of his baskets from close up. Frierson-Hollie is a rising TE and edge rushing prospect in football.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126154' first='Julian' last='Smith'] - Smith is a five-foot-ten-inch 2027 guard for Cretin that is averaging 9 points per game and shooting 39% from beyond the 3-point line. The junior guard is quick with the ball and doesn't need much room or time to get off his outside shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='2833341' first='Anthony' last='Armstrong'] - Armstrong is a six-foot-one-inch combo guard for the Raiders that is a solid perimeter shooter, has quickness with the ball, and could potentially be a good secondary creator.

https://twitter.com/antarmstrong14/status/1956114925350478126

[player_tooltip player_id='2126170' first='Isaac' last='Feller'] - Feller a 2027 six-foot-one-inch guard who transferred to Cretin from Bloomington has made much of an impact for them basketball this season. Feller is a solid level baseball prospect however and like a lot of basketball/baseball players is a good perimeter shooter and solid athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id='2435240' first='Zeke' last='Gilbert'] - Gilbert is a six-foot-four-inch 2028 prospect to watch for Cretin. Gilbert transferred over from Park Center and hasn't really gotten his chance with the high school team he is a player to watch this spring and summer in the 2028 class with his improved ball handling and perimeter ability.

https://twitter.com/zeketakeover/status/1909436246415356208

East Ridge

[player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'] - Just before last season I wondered if Tomes would make the jump as a shot maker for East Ridge, especially when watching him with [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] and his general lack of shots. Tomes then proceeded to average 27.3 points per game for the Raptors and nearly carry them to state. Tomes has turned it up another notch after committing to the Minnesota Gophers this summer scoring 31.4 points per game. Tomes has a 50 point game against Totino-Grace and dropped 47 points against Stillwater. He's added more muscle to his frame, he looks physically bigger, and is moving even quicker.

https://twitter.com/NSPNminnesota/status/2007313900790772218

[player_tooltip player_id='2120491' first='Graham' last='Sanneh'] - The six-foot-eight-inch Sanneh fills his role on the Raptors very well at East Ridge. He's a super active rebounder grabbing 10.8 boards a game and with his size and length offers them interior defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2463188' first='Salman' last='Hussein'] - The 2026 six-foot-four-inch East Ridge guard is showing shot creation ability off the dribble in the mid-range this season. Hussein, who is averaging 8.5 points per game is really filling the secondary scorer spot on the wing for the Raptors.

https://twitter.com/_salmanh23/status/2012598343474557339

[player_tooltip player_id='2431593' first='Aidan' last='Galvin'] - Galvin is a six-foot-five-inch 2026 senior guard that gives East Ridge their 2nd leading scorer at just over 10 points a game. He's a perimeter shooter with good range.

https://twitter.com/FreshCoastHoops/status/1988698778464051377

[player_tooltip player_id='2392326' first='Max' last='Denson'] - Denson is a six-foot-three-inch 2028 guard for East Ridge currently playing JV. Denson looks to have improved as a ball handler and his athleticism gives him an advantage when driving and getting to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2429908' first='Benjamin' last='Koch'] - The five-foot-eleven-inch 2028 guard from East Ridge is next up for the Raptors after this season. This past summer playing for [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Wilde Koch showed a wide display of offensive skills as the lead ball handler, scorer and creator. Koch seemingly has unlimited range on his shot and that ability opens things up for him finding teammates.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJSDCMtu4VJ/

St. Paul Central

[player_tooltip player_id='2710243' first='Sefi' last='Whittington'] - Whittington is a six-foot-two-inch 2026 combo guard for SP Central that is scoring 18.6 points, grabbing 4.8 rebounds and dishing 2 assists per game through January.
