WHY?

He is a BIG who uses his body well when finishing around the rim. Piper can also step out and drill the 3-point shot. He is a difficult matchup with his length and shooting ability. His three-point and mid-range shooting is accurate and consistent. Colin also does a great job of protecting the rim and he forces the opposing team to take tough shots.

You can tell Colin has been adding strength and growing into his 6’8 frame. That added size along with the edge he was playing with allowed him to consistently seal defenders to create easy angles for entry passes. Showed the ability to power his way to the rim for strong finishes, whether from the block or off an offensive rebound. In both games I saw, Colin was working hard on the glass, showed he can move his feet to defend screens out on the perimeter, and hustled up and down the floor. Had one of the highlights of the weekend as he sprinted back on defense and blocked a dunk right at the rim.
