Game Recap

A sold out capacity crowd inside the ‘Dragon's Lair' at Silver Creek High School brought a Top 10 matchup between New Albany and Silver Creek and the stars shined bright. Silver Creek jumped out to a lead behind a strong start from Junior Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140328' first='Brandon' last='Hunter']. Known for his court vision and passing ability to get his teammates involved, Hunter came out aggressive looking for his own offense. His physicality getting in the lane was tough to handle for anybody on New Albany and the Dragons took advantage of the mismatch. Silver Creek's Divison I commits in Kaden Daeger (Stony Brook) and [player_tooltip player_id='2476482' first='Dane' last='Caldwell'] (Richmond) made their presence felt early and often. Daeger was doing what he dos stretching the defense from long distance while Caldwell used his length and size to impact the game on both ends of the floor. 6'8” Junior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2831121' first='Lucas' last='Linderman'] was a big spark off the bench in the first half as a beneficiary of excellent passes from Hunter for dunks to build Silver Creek's halftime lead to 36-24. New Albany struggled in the first half to really get any offense going shooting just 28.5% from the floor. Four-Star Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2382148' first='Noah' last='Washington'] was non-existent in the Bulldogs offense scoring six points in the first half all from the free throw line.

In the 3rd Quarter, [player_tooltip player_id='2140328' first='Brandon' last='Hunter'] went back to work knocking down back to back three-point shots to boost the Dragon's lead to a game high 20 points, 58-38. 6'0” Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2125697' first='Reece' last='McKee'] got going for the Bulldogs in the 3rd Quarter with 12 points. Showed his ability to get to his spot in the lane and finish over length with a soft touch.
