We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. If that wasn't enough, they also return their leading scorer and floor general in 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140383' first='Jake' last='Grissom']. The 6-foot-3 point guard is coming off a standout season in which he averaged 20.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, establishing himself as one of the top guards in the state. Grissom is one of Indiana's better pure athletes in the backcourt, using his explosiveness and relentless downhill attacking ability to constantly put pressure on opposing defenses. With him leading the way, Guerin Catholic has all the pieces to make a serious run at the Class 3A state championship.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2137375' first='Carter' last='Murans']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In all reality, 2027 wing [player_tooltip player_id='2137375' first='Carter' last='Murans'] has a strong case to be considered the top player on this year's Guerin Catholic roster. When looking at the next tier of 2027 prospects poised for breakout seasons, Murans belongs near the top of that list. He returns after averaging 12.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, giving the Golden Eagles another proven offensive weapon. A smooth perimeter shooter with a polished offensive game, Murans also possesses sneaky athleticism that allows him to finish effectively at the rim.
