One of the more productive players you will find in the southern Indiana region of the state is senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1561438' first='Cooper' last='Bock']. A versatile forward in many ways, Bock is averaging a near double-double of 17.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. At 6'6, Bock is extremely efficient around the basket and with athleticism and skill to make plays against any matchup. Watch him this week when Sullivan plays Robinson (Ill.) and White River Valley.

The in-state sophomore class is starting to see some breakout players and one of them that is trending in the right direction is Hamilton Southeastern shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2559521' first='Varschon' last='Clark']. The 6'3 energetic guard is averaging 10.3 points per game 5.4 rebound, and 2.8 assists. Clark is a true microwave scorer that plays off the bounce and can knock down shots in a hurry. HSE will play Zionsville and at Mt. Vernon Fortville this weekend.

You will be pressed to find hardly any more high-volume scorers in the in-state 2027 class than Breman point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2414954' first='Chase' last='Devine']. Devine has always been known an elite scorer and that has held true this season with his 24.1 points as well as 4.4 rebound and 3.7 assists per game. This guy can shoot the lights out and plays with so much confidence on the floor. Watch him this week when Bremen plays in the Bi-County Tournament.

3 Teams

Pike (4A) – It is widely known that the Pike Red Devils may have the most talent on paper of any team in the state and by the looks of it, they may be starting to find their stride at the right time. The Red Devils are coming off an impressive showing in the Marion County Tournament and right now enter into Week 9 12-3 on the year. [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller'] (15.8 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley'] (14.7 ppg) are leading the team in scoring but you cannot discount the impact that [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'], [player_tooltip player_id='2477115' first='Brennan' last='Dokes'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2266897' first='Kenneth' last='Lampley'] have brought to them as well. They week, they have a huge clash with Carmel on Friday then host Indianapolis Shortridge on Saturday.

Northview (3A) – The Knights of Northview came into this season as one of the best teams in Class 3A and have more than backed up that hype. At 11-4, the Knights have won 4 out of their last 6 games and look like they will start to rally off some more wins as the season regresses. Northview has three guys scoring in double-figures with [player_tooltip player_id='2797123' first='Quinn' last='Lewis'] with 16.9 ppg, [player_tooltip player_id='1561022' first='Brayden' last='Goff'] 13.8 ppg, and Tayven Buis with 11.5 ppg. This week they have two road games at Edgewood and Cascade.

Loogootee (1A) – Every week it seems we have a new contender in Class 1A and this week, the spotlight is on the Loogootee Lions. The Lions enter this week 12-4 on the year with impressive wins over Springs Valley, Owen Valley and have won both the Loogootee and Greene County Tournaments this season. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1560987' first='AJ' last='Foster'] leads them with 18.4 points per game and junior prospect Will Lyon adds 12.8 points per game as well. Big week for the Lions when they travel to Shoals and and host Bloomfield.

Westfield (4A) at Brownsburg (4A) - Jan. 23rd, 7:30

This one feels like one of the better under-the-radar Class 4A games this week between two real solid squads looking to get some momentum going this back-half of the season. The Westfield Shamrocks will enter into this game 6-5 looking to bounce back after back-to-back losses. Brownsburg, who is 7-7, is also looking to bounce back after back-to-back losses as well. Both teams have some great scoring to them with Brownsburg led by [player_tooltip player_id='1962847' first='Chrishon' last='Woodward'] with 12.0 ppg and Westfield led by [player_tooltip player_id='1988138' first='Drew' last='Haffner'] with over 17.0 ppg. This game will come down between the battle of the big men between [player_tooltip player_id='2140379' first='Jackson' last='Gordon'] and Luke Vandergriff. Give me Westfield to get the road win here.
