-Our top player in the sophomore class has had a fantastic start to the season to prove his worth as the #1 prospect. Skipworth has continued to have a 2-way impact in games while also expanding his role within the offense as a perimeter jump shooter and secondary play-maker. Serving as the clear leader for a Bullis team this season to steady the ship for a team that graduated the other 4 starters, Skipworth is performing well in an alpha mode this year.

-Avery threads the needle well between upside and production as a wing prospect whose down games usually still net a near double-double. He's got great positional size, has improved his jumper both off the catch and off the bounce, has improved his handle to play more effectively in transition and in taking defenders off the bounce from the wings, and has picked up his defensive motor to have more of a 2-way impact on the game. If he can continue to improve his consistency game to game and bring the fire as a mobile defender for the Cavaliers, the sky is the limit.

-This dynamic guard prospect has ramped things up at the offensive end of the floor to start the season, showing off an improved shooting stroke behind the arc in the wings and corners--specifically. He's also mixing in more drives to the rim to open up cutting lanes for teammates while also impacting the game on the offensive glass to extend possessions for his team. His physical brand of play at both ends of the floor sets the tone for the Cadets.

-It's really hard to ignore the production that you see on the floor on a nightly basis from Washington. Even if he isn't scoring it well on a particular night-- you know that you will get consistent play-making off the bounce and 32 minutes of hell as a tenacious on-ball defender. Washington's ability to navigate screens and swipe away steals has been key for a Sidwell defense that is integrating several new pieces while calling on younger prospects to step up as the team deals with short term injuries. He is a consistent perimeter jumper away from netting offers from some of the high level college suitors that like the impact that they see from Washington. But both national and local scouts are high on what looks to be the next in a growing line of Sidwell point guards.

-Bogard puts his hard hat on each night and goes to work, sealing hard and rebound the basketball at a high level for a younger Cavaliers group that has dealt with some injuries in the backcourt. Love the aggression and assertive style of play that we see from Bogard around the rim, and his defensive impact as a secondary shot-blocker that can clean up rotational mistakes from his teammates is invaluable to this group. Love his ability to space the floor as a pick n pop big but want to see him find opportunities to clash the glass from the weakside once the shot goes up to take advantage of his ability to rebound and finish around the rim.

-Our scouts have liked what we've seen from Tarawally this season as a 3-level scorer that can create for himself at a pretty high level. The sophomore guard is leading his team in scoring at close to 24 ppg and was just named PG County Player of the Week with several scoring outbursts in league play. Love his ability to create in the halfcourt with or without a ball screen, his improved motor at the defensive end of the floor has been key for a young Yellow Jackets team that needs consistent play from their top guys.

-Mbuyamba has been a consistent performer on the low block for a Gonzaga team that has pulled off some big wins in the last two weeks. The southpaw forward consistently contributes a double-double by getting his own within the flow of the game, mostly by way of offensive rebounds. His footwork continues to improve and he's added an effective drop step to counter the lefty hooks that he can hit off glass or through the net. If he can prove that he can effectively show on high ball screens and recover quickly to the rim without allowing a passing angle to his matchup- he can move up a level as a long term prospect.

-Stanfield has really improved his motor and attention to detail on the defensive end of the floor as a mobile W/F tweener with a ton of upside. Stanfield is timing his contests better as a help defender to block more shots from the weak side and has improved the skill base to push the ball up the floor in transition on his own. He also is a dependable shooter from the elbows both off the catch and in transition. If he can continue to learn to channel his emotions into a more controlled effort to stay out of foul trouble, we will only see his production continue to increase for a feisty Calvert Hall group.

-We interviewed McQueen on the Hoop Threads Pod (found here) last week after several standout performances to start the year as a young guard with some nice upside. McQueen uses his positional size and length to serve as an effective scorer from the low block, has vastly improved his handle to become more effective in transition, and serves as an invaluable switchable defender for a young Landon team that continues to improve as the year wears on. If the jumper can continue to improve at the same rate as his touch in the paint, we only expect McQueen to continue to climb further up our rankings.

-Our scouts really like the season that Hall is putting together as a versatile scoring guard that can play 1-3 for this Theodore Roosevelt team. Hall has always possessed a feathery midrange jumper and has extended that range past the three point arc while sharpening his handle to cut down on turnovers in the key. If he can add more weight to his frame to play a more physical brand of basketball, he's got a chance to be one of the best guards in the class.
