Bishop Luers vs. Brebeuf Jesuit

Bishop Luers bounced back from a tough loss to Mishawaka Marian to begin the season with a big 84-42 win over Fort Wayne Northrop. The Knights, ranked #8 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 2A Top 10 will face Homestead on Friday night as well before heading to Indianapolis on Saturday for the Breakaway Classic. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2381412' first='Carmani' last='Davis'] leads the way for Bishop Luers averaging 16.0 points per game. On the inside, 6'3" senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2892479' first='Ayle' last='Taylor'] has added 14.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Those two provide a nice inside-outside presence. Sophomore point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2560422' first='Zen' last='Szaferski'] is one to watch as well. Look for junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2414946' first='Tamarje' last='English'] and sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2424067' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] to be factors too for the Knights too.

Brebeuf Jesuit, like Bishop Luers, will certainly come in battle tested on Saturday night. They are 1-2 with tough losses against St. Xavier (OH) and Cathedral prior to last weekend's impressive win over Hamilton Southeastern. Wabash College commit [player_tooltip player_id='1561106' first='Austin' last='Ford'] is averaging over 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game for the Braves. Meanwhile, his junior brother [player_tooltip player_id='2140342' first='Chace' last='Ford'] and junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2141016' first='Jayden' last='Washington'] also average in double-figures. The Braves don't have a ton of size, but they make up for it with backcourt quickness and some tenacity on the defensive end of the floor.

Avon vs. Harrison (West Lafayette)

[player_tooltip player_id='1561685' first='Jedidiah' last='Minnett'] is a very talented unsigned senior guard that will be one to watch in this game for the Orioles. Avon is 1-2 on the season with losses to Plainfield and Hamilton Southeastern and a win over Arsenal Tech. Minnett is an excellent shot-maker from the perimeter and an athletic finisher at the end of his drives. 6'3" athletic senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1561115' first='Tyrone' last='Elmore'] provides some size and physicality to Avon's team as well. 6'4" senior guard Will Clore is an under-the-radar shooting threat that will help space the floor for both Minnett and Elmore to operate. [player_tooltip player_id='2140425' first='Preston' last='Miller'] is a name to remember in the Orioles' junior class.

As for Harrison (West Lafayette), junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2141040' first='Brody' last='Baker'] is the name to know. He averaged over 20 points per game as a sophomore while making 85 three-point shots at a 53% clip. The 6'1" marksman is leading the 4-0 Raiders in scoring this year as well averaging 16.5 points per game. 6'3" senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2575580' first='Brady' last='Henchon'] is adding 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. Baker and Henchon have the ability to really get hot from beyond the arc which makes Harrison (West Lafayette) a tough out. They are coming off of a dominant 77-27 win over Danville. The Raiders have also beaten Rensselaer Central, McCutcheon, and Lafayette Jeff.
