Ford, one of the highest ranked prospects in Saturday’s event, was a consistent steadying presence in the Braves’ backcourt. The Wabash College commit finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds in Brebeuf Jesuit’s 74-62 win over Bishop Luers. His athleticism and downhill explosiveness when getting to the rim really stood out.

Brebeuf Jesuit pushed one of the best teams from Cincinnati to overtime and their collection of guard talent was a key reason why they had so much success crossing state lines. Ford knocked down multiple 3-pointers early in the game and had a sweet spin move to get an open layup. I also was impressed by Ford’s ability to play on and off the ball, finding success on DHO’s and attacking closeouts. Impressive guard who should be on small college radars around Indiana.

Heady lead guard that plays at his own pace and doesn’t get sped up. Does a really good job setting the tempo in transition and playing with his head up. Thrives on getting downhill and creating for teammates as well as being able to put pressure on the rim. Good three-point shooter with a smooth stroke. Defensively he pressures the ball full court with quick feet and active hands not allowing dribble penetration and looking to turn defense to offense in a hurry.

Shifty true point guard that plays with a steadiness to his game. He affects the game on both ends of the floor with his leadership and toughness. Defensively he pressures full court wreaking havoc on the opposing teams backcourt. Quick hands and feet let him stay down in a stance and guard at a high level. Willing to do the dirty work in the defensive end sacrificing his body to slide over a take a charge. Offensively he’s a smooth operator that makes the right play. Capable three-point shooter though he struggled his junior season, he’s willing to take them to open up his drives. He loves getting in the lane to use his floater. Operates the pick and roll with a purpose. Draws the defense and sets up his teammates hitting them with an on time pass for an open shot. Also a really good rebounder at the guard spot finishing second on his team in rebounding.
2024-2025 Stats: 12.9 points | 4.5 rebounds | 4.2 assists | 2.1 steals

INB Elite 17u’s backcourt led them to a hard-fought victory on Friday night and Ford was certainly a big part of that. The 5’11” guard’s motor is one thing that consistently stands out. He was all over the floor creating as a playmaker offensively and causing havoc defensively. Ford went on to finish with 15 points showcasing his ability to attack the basket off of the dribble and score from different levels. He projects well as a small college guard.
