[player_tooltip player_id='1595679' first='Deron' last='Rippey Jr.'], 6'1 Blair Academy

Rippey Jr. is not only the top ranked point guard in the class, but the top overall prospect. The 6'1 guard explodes off the floor for dunks and uses his speed to blow by his defenders off the bounce. Rippey Jr. can score through contact and has a nice touch in the mid-range. He finds his open teammates in the half court and uses his quickness on defense to make it hard for his man to get to his spot on the floor. Rippey Jr. is a talented guard prospect who is looking to repeat as the NJ Gatorade Player of the Year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1790209' first='Ethan' last='Lin'], 6'4 Montgomery

Lin is the top point guard prospect in the NJSIAA and should put it on display this season. The Penn commit uses his tight handle to get to his spot on the floor and finishes in a variety of ways around the rim. Lin can also score in the mid-range and can knock down jumpers off the catch and bounce. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and uses his size to see over his defender. Lin has been a key part of the Cougars' success over the last three seasons as he is looking to close out his varsity season with his third straight sectional title.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609109' first='Richie' last='Rosa'], 6'0 St. Peter's Prep

Rosa has been running the Marauders' offense for the last three seasons and that won't change in 2025-26. The Rider commit has a tight handle, which he uses to get into the paint off the bounce and knows how to finish around the rim. Rosa is more than just a slasher as he has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He is a tough on-ball defender and has the potential to play off the ball at times. Rosa is a gritty guard prospect whose ability to run the offense efficiently will help St. Peter's Prep make a deep run this postseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628166' first='Santonio' last='Waide'], 5'10 Patrick School

Waide might be an undersized lead guard, but that doesn't stop him from making plays on the hardwood. The 5'10 guard is a blur in the open floor as he uses his speed to blow by his defenders and get into the paint. Waide has a nice touch in the mid-range and makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He is a tough on-ball defender and can make shots through contact. Waide is a gamer who does whatever it takes to help his team win basketball games.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411649' first='Tobe' last='Nwobu'], 6'1 College Achieve

Nwobu recently picked up an offer from Wagner and is looking to add to his offer sheet this winter. The 6'1 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Nwobu is more than just a shooter as he uses his speed to get into the lane and has a nice touch in the mid-range. He slides his feet on the defensive end and can also play off the ball. Nwobu's ability to make plays on and off the ball is something that will help his development throughout the course of the season.

Other Guards to Know:

[player_tooltip player_id='2347867' first='Sage' last='Mateo'], 6'3 Hun

[player_tooltip player_id='1604422' first='Alex' last='Pace'], 6'2 Camden

[player_tooltip player_id='1788762' first='Will' last='Spross'], 6'2 Paul VI
