Nwobu is a jitterbug point guard who made a living in the paint and used his quickness to blow by defenders. He was a threat to score from behind the arc cashing in on several threes. Nwobu finished with a game high 23 points in the win. He was also able to find others for scoring chances. Nwobu made some trips to the foul line and converted his chances. He would be a great pickup at the low major and high division two level.

Nwobu collected points in a jiffy with his quickness on the offensive end. His lightning quick first step allows him to blow by defenders. He does a nice job getting to different spots off the dribble. Nwobu has a motor that allows him to make hustle plays and keep offensive possessions alive. He also found others with his passing. Nwobu should be getting prioritized by scholarship programs.

With his Shoreshots squad facing an early deficit in their season-opening matchup with fellow UAA club Philly Pride , Nwobu came off the bench and immediately helped swing the momentum with his energetic play in the backcourt. A true pest of a two-way guard, he helped speed up the tempo of the game in his team’s favor by getting underneath of opposing guards with his hounding ball pressure. Playing in a true combo guard role, Nwobu showed effectiveness both making plays off the dribble out of ball screens but also spacing the floor as a dangerous shooter off the catch. While he can be a bit streaky with his offensive contributions at times, Nwobu has carved out a nice calling card with his relentless energy on both ends of the floor in a way that’s sure to earn him points in the eyes of college coaches over this summer’s live periods.

Nwobu showed good poise and patience operating as a primary ball handler to lead College Achieve’s offense.

Academy of New Church blew out Potomac School in the first game of the day. They had a balanced attack and got great offensive performances from multiple guys. 2026 guard Tobe Nwobu had a great showing. Tobe is quick and a good shot-creator. He scored an efficient 19 points and showed off his ability as a jump shooter. Tobe followed that up with 19 in their next game.
