continued to showcase the versatility paired with the aggression and confidence in which he’s able to score the basketball with. As the weekend wained however, Pace impressed the most particularly with his outside scoring, particularly from an efficiency and versatility standpoint— creating separation with quickness dribble combo moves off the bounce to knock down smooth outside jumpers while being just as impactful and efficient as a spot up shooter off the catch.

Despite leaving with a first round loss, nobody did more for their stock than Pace during the first week of the Donofrio, with news and video of his 44-point outburst reverberating across the region. The unsigned senior guard took full advantage of the opportunity on a new stage after running circles around most of South Jersey over the course of the winter. His blend of shotmaking and dribble-drive creation has consistently caused havoc for opposing defenders, especially when factoring in his ability to whip passes across the floor on a dime with either hand. Pace earned his first two D1 offers in the days since his explosive performance and will look to boost his stock even further during the spring AAU season.

Putting on the most explosive scoring display of the entire opening week, Pace erupted for 44 points in what will be his only game of the tournament as his younger Cool Hoops team went down in defeat. The polished guard showed off the balanced skillset and prolific shotmaking that made him South Jersey’s best guard throughout the winter. He rained in six 3’s while also showing advanced footwork and balance as a scorer in the midrange. His fiery competitiveness also played well in the win-or-go-home Donofrio setting. Pace is one of the more consistently productive unsigned guards in the region and will look to win over D1 coaches while suiting up on the UAA circuit as an unsigned senior this spring.

Arguably the best guard in South Jersey, Pace put on a show with an effortless 27-point performance to steer the win. He came out aggressive with 17 in the first half before shifting more into playmaking mode in the second, finishing unofficially with 6 assists to just 1 turnover. True to his name, the unsigned senior plays at a strikingly mature pace. He showcases polished footwork off the dribble whether attacking the rim or hunting his spots to get to a smooth and efficient pullup game. While placed in more of a scoring role for the Panthers, Pace also shows solid vision and advanced dexterity as a passer, allowing him to project as a lead guard at the next level. He has D1 programs tracking him into the spring, and could make whoever decides to pull the trigger look smart with his smooth offensive arsenal.

An import by way of Atlanta, Pace looks ready to hit the ground running right away as perhaps the most dynamic guard in South Jersey. A microwave-style scorer with a polished on-ball skillset, he likes to play uptempo while showing the ability to pressure the rim himself in transition or make the right simple pass. Pace shoots a smooth and confident ball out to the perimeter with extreme comfort creating space and getting balanced in the midrange for his pullup stroke. He also looks to be a committed on-ball defender, though his aggression does backfire at times in allowing penetration. We’ll have to see more of the nuances of his floor game, but Pace looks to be a clear scholarship-level guard who should garner long looks from D1 programs in the process of taking South Jersey by storm.
