once again displayed his dangerous perimeter scoring prowess in this intense matchup against St. Joe’s Metuchen. Doing most his damage from the outside, Spross used his elite shooting ability to knock down open looks as a spot up shooter while also creating slight separation off the bounce to get to his spots.

One of five starters in double-figures for the Eagles, Spross posed a steady threat both on and off the ball playing off of Malukila as a senior leader for a mostly younger PVI rotation. He established himself early with a smooth sidestep 3 from the corner before hitting another later on off the catch from nearly the same spot. Spross showed poise off the bounce in search of his floater and also impressed with his ability to extend out his ball pressure on the defensive end of the floor. Having previously been the go-to guy for years at St. Joe’s Hammonton, it was nice to see his ability to fit in as a piece of a larger machine with the talent around him at PVI, giving a clearer window into his projected role at the scholarship level.

is a confident and versatile outside shooter with a fluid and compact shooting release. Knocking down shots as a spot up shooter as well as showcasing his ability to be just as dangerous a shooter off the bounce, Spross does most of his damage from the perimeter and allows his lethal shooting ability to open up additional offense for himself— being efficient off the dribble to get into the paint and finish with craftiness around the basket.

Spross has been one of the more productive guards not just in the Cape-Atlantic League but in all of South Jersey over the past three years at St. Joe’s Hammonton. The 1,000-point scorer has taken his talents to PVI for his senior year and will look to quarterback one of the more talented lineups in the area. A skilled on-ball presence, he shows great pace and dexterity while probing in ball screens and executing timely scoring or passing reads with either hand. He’s shown growth as of late in his ability to stretch defenses as a shooter, whether pulling up from range or spacing the floor off the catch when sliding off-ball next to other playmakers. Spross is a clear scholarship-level guard and could push over the D1 bubble this winter if he shows a willingness to consistently make the simple play while setting up the cadre of talent around him.

‘s most impressive showing this fall has without a doubt been his performance against Imhotep (PA) earlier this October. A fearless competitor who’s not afraid of big moments, Spross exhibited his ability to be dangerous and versatile shot maker from three point range— knocking down shots as a spot up shooter as well as showcasing his ability to be just as dangerous a shooter off the bounce. Efficient in his movements off the dribble, Spross has also shown an ability to get in the paint off the bounce and finish with craftiness.

demonstrated his ability to be a dangerous and versatile shot maker. With a smooth and compact shooting release, Spross’ performance Sunday highlighted his ability to be effective as a spot up shooter as well as an excellent shooter off the dribble. Spross also shined on the defensive end of the floor, being an effective help defender and playing the passing lanes with great anticipation— often times turning defense into offense on the other end.

demonstrated his ability to put pressure on the defense both as a creative and efficient shot creator and a reliable facilitator. Spross got going from three point range and mixed it up by attacking the basket off the bounce and finishing with craftiness. Spross also excelled at finding open shooters and guys in the dunker spot when the defense collapsed on him. Defensively, Spross played with great instincts as an on ball defender and played the passing lanes with great anticipation.

Arguably the most consistently productive among all South Jersey guards in his class over the past three seasons, Spross is back for one more run and looking to go out with a bang while generating further traction among D1 coaches. A crafty and skilled on-ball playmaker, he shows great polish and craft in his overall game as a ballhandler, passer, and finisher. Previously more of a midrange maven, Spross has meaningfully expanded his range while showing the ability to slide off-ball next to other playmakers as a dangerous catch-and-shoot threat. He can still get caught trying to make a bit too much happen for certain stretches, but when letting things come to him, could certainly open the eyes of the right D1 program with his production and balanced skillset.

One of the hottest teams all weekend was Team Final Red’s 17U, which cruised to a 4-0 record to position itself as one of the top contenders for an EYCL title come July. Part of a well-oiled returning core, Spross was a consistent standout with his dynamic play in the backcourt. Spross showcased a well-rounded offensive arsenal, as he’s highly polished attacking off the bounce to either side for skilled finishes with either hand but also displayed a dangerous catch-and-shoot stroke from 3 highlighted by a handful of converted attempts on the move. He was effective in keeping the game simple and playing efficiently alongside other playmakers, which was key for college coaches to see given his ball-dominant role in college. Spross has cemented himself as a scholarship-level guard and is gaining traction with D1 programs as he continues to prove himself on the national stage.

has had a strong spring thus far and will look to continue his strong play heading into the May live period. Playing with a healthy balance between shot making and facilitating, Spross keeps the defense on its toes with his ability to dissect the defense for scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Heading into EYCL’s Session II, look for Spross to continue his strong play as one of Team Final Red’s lead guards.
