Overland's success hinges on Eason, and that's the true definition of an X-Factor. If he's locked in and consistent, they become the conference's surprise team. Eason is one of the top two-way players in the state, with defense being his calling card as he defends all five spots with intensity. This summer as well as into the Fall, he showcased developing range, his downhill ability with the ball, and an in-between scoring game, which make him dangerous. He fills every hole they have, sets their identity as a hard-nosed team that's going to bring the best out of you, and, quiet as kept, is Overland's most important player. Big year for him upcoming.

London was just recently highlighted for making a rankings jump, and he also stands out as one of the league's best guards. Moore is a bully-ball guard who controls pace, takes care of the ball, and defends at a high level. That is where he will make his mark as the No. 2 X-factor in the conference. He pushes tempo, plugs defensive holes for teammates, and sets the tone. Cherokee Trail needs him to elevate this season for them to be at their best, and I think he becomes a constant in the conference.

Atkinson rose in the rankings for good reason. What stands out about him is him being an explosive athlete with length who thrives in transition and finishes above the rim. He's a versatile defender who can make things difficult for guards but also slide down inside and hold his own with bigs. Grandview keeps the ball in his hands for a reason as he makes good things happen when he's in attack-mode. He's a real difference-maker and easily a top-three X-factor in the entire class that we want to see more from.

Hopkins made a strong impression this fall and looks like a real X-factor riser. He's a big, and strong forward who slashes for easy baskets, finishes through contact, and establishes deep post position. His growing confidence stretching the floor is huge as he's now hitting from mid-range as well. He has a high motor, showcases physical toughness, and brings energy on both ends which makes him a major stock-up prospect right now. He has to go out with a bang!

Reece is a microwave scorer and one of Eaglecrest's biggest X-factor swings. At showcases and tournaments this summer he was locked in as he was hitting floaters, mid-range pull-ups, and finishing off the bounce. What I like about Reece's game is that he's both dangerous as a primary ball handler and off-the-ball because he stays in constant motion. When he gets in rhythm, Eaglecrest's offense changes completely. His spark, confidence, and ability to take over without forcing shots give them real upside this season, but makes him one of the biggest X-factors in the conference.

Bodhi gives Creek their identity. At 6'7, he defends multiple positions, plays tough, and competes every possession. Offensively, he shoots the 3, finishes inside, and runs the floor with purpose. He kept standing out this summer in which we finally gave in to see what he was all about. This feels like his breakout year, and I expect him to climb and command more attention as he comes in as the No. 7 X-factor in the conference.

Abuk has the size, versatility, and upside to be a major X-factor if consistency hits. He has moments where he looks like one of the top players and others where he's floating. Staying locked in the entire time will be what makes or breaks the team. No flipping of the switch. Abuk stretches defenses with perimeter shooting, scores inside with power, and controls the glass. His passing and decision-making show real maturity as he's made strides each time we've seen him. When he balances aggression with feel, his ceiling jumps. He's one of the more intriguing risers who can impact both ends this season.
