The 2029 rankings dropped on Wednesday and there was plenty of movement here as this was the group that we did not know a ton about heading into the season but spent some time not he past couple of weeks. There are players who were impactful on the varsity scene this past year and some that made moves on the Freshman and JV team. But with what we've seen from them to start out grassroots season, we've gotten more time watching. Here are 6 players in the rankings that we truly feel as if by the time they're Seniors, colleges will be all over these prospects. They're high-upside prospects.

O'Sullivan is a player that I am extremely high on as he looks like one of the bigger developmental jumps in the class right now the last time that we saw him. In fact, every time we see him he looks vastly improved and it's the versatility that does it for me. He's a strong-bodied wing who spaces the floor, and moves naturally without the ball. He can put the ball in his hands and finds ways to flash in the offens like when he hits the midrange shot, gets down on the blocks and he layers the offense. The ball seems to gravitate toward him because he constantly puts himself in the right spots. With the way he's trending, meaningful varsity minutes feel inevitable this upcoming season and is a player that I'm sure we hear a ton about this year. He earned his spot in the rankings.

Hackley continues to be a player that I am intrigued by and I am really starting to see his game take shape because the game genuinely appears to be slowing down for him. He already had energy and defensive instincts that translated at the varsity level, but now the offensive side is starting to match it for the Tru Colorado team. He creates shots at multiple levels, plays through contact, and impacts possessions defensively. We've saw him challenge himself on that end of the floor and come up with blocks and steals and also be a player who steps up and fills holes in defensive rotations and we saw that even for that East team. What makes him intriguing long term is that he doesn't need to score to be effective. He's a game changer who understands that he's out there to make winning plays and he looks prepared for a much larger varsity role moving forward.

Pedersen's value comes from how naturally he impacts team basketball. He rebounds outside his area, moves the ball quickly, and consistently keeps possessions connected without needing touches called for him. The feel continues to improve, and you can see the confidence growing each time out. He understands spacing, timing, and role responsibility at a young age, which is why he keeps finding himself on the floor. As the physical tools continue catching up, there's a lot to like long term.

Trujillo is a player who I know is not even close to the finished prospect and it's going to take others a bit longer to see why he's one of the most versatile players in this class. For a guard with that size, it's refreshing to see a ballhandler who sees the floor well, controls tempo and looks for open teammates but has a switch on when to score as well. He brings stability to the offense, he reads how to create advantages and handles pressure. Trujillo is a playmaker with patience to his game and has immense upside to his game. I want to see how he brings that into a young Palmer team that should make some noise this year but right now, it's about getting more people to see it throughout the summer and I believe it's there. Buy Trujillo stock fast.

White is a player who remains one of the more fascinating long-term bets in the class because of the combination of size, instincts, and offensive feel. I'm big on being versatile and processing the game and at 6'2, he already does those things. He initiates offense, creates in transition and makes smart reads to force the defense to collapse. That's what stands out most for me is how comfortable he looks with the ball in his hands and how effective he is making plays for others. He's a player who should pop come junior and senior year but has shown flashes over the summer to keep the intrigue that. Excited to see what it looks like a year from now because when it comes together, the sky is the limit for Taggart.

Barnett continues to trend upward for me because it's all starting to come together. Barnett already has the size at 6'6 and is still growing and he is a fluid athlete. He uses his length for rebounds, and defensively it allows him to defend more positions as well. He's tough on both ends and competes at a high level. We've got to see him a couple of times this summer and different games called for different versions of him, and he consistently adjusted. He's shifts momentum with rebounds, finishes around the basket and can extend it to the mid-range and 3-ball and is a force defensively blocking shots at the rim. The foundation is there physically, and now the overall skill package is starting to catch up in a major way which will make him dangerous. Tag is a player and will only continue to rise. He certainly has long term upside.
