Trujillo is a player who I know is not even close to the finished prospect and it’s going to take others a bit longer to see why he’s one of the most versatile players in this class. For a guard with that size, it’s refreshing to see a ballhandler who sees the floor well, controls tempo and looks for open teammates but has a switch on when to score as well. He brings stability to the offense, he reads how to create advantages and handles pressure. Trujillo is a playmaker with patience to his game and has immense upside to his game. I want to see how he brings that into a young Palmer team that should make some noise this year but right now, it’s about getting more people to see it throughout the summer and I believe it’s there. Trujillo is a player who certainly stood out for me on the weekend as despite being a taller player, he was the team’s primary ball handler. He plays under control, he handles pressure well, and he also defends guards and bigs on the other end, which showcases his versatility. Trujillo is a guard who controls tempo, and when things settled down for him, he was making constant plays happen. He started to settle in throughout the day, and I saw him start to look comfortable and have some key moments. He scores with ease, finds the open man, and is a player who I feel will be a name to know moving forward. Big day for him to get on more radars.

Trujillo is a scorer with size who made his presence felt all weekend. He showed the ability to knock down shots from deep with confidence, stretching the floor and keeping defenders honest. At the same time he wasn’t afraid to use his strength to bully opponents inside, finishing through contact and controlling space in the paint. He moved well without the ball, coming off screens and getting himself into scoring positions. Trujillo’s blend of perimeter shooting and interior toughness made him a difficult matchup throughout the tournament

Tevin is a freshman guard who is off to a good start to his career. He’s filled the boxscore, been effective both on and off-ball, and has stepped into more of a scoring role as we get into conference play. Right now, he’s starting to put multiple good games in. He’s shooting the basketball with confidence, he’s taking what the defense is giving him, and he doesn’t look like a freshman. He’s contributing on the boards as well as setting the table as a lead guard as well. I am excited to see how he continues to raise his game, but he’s now a player on our radar.
